Abstract:	We found the decrease of healing potential of glautatione in patients with optical neuropathy, of activity of glutationreductasa and the tendency to decreasing of erithrocyte resistance as to normal state. It is important to take into consideration the violation of glutatione metabolic system in patients with optical neuropathy when one is trying to find the means of patogenetically directed therapy
