| Abstract: | Analysis of diabetic retinopathy prevalence in population of Ukraine has been carried out on the basis of information, conserning the patient's applying to еуе consulting rooms and hospitalization at еуе hospital. Patient's cales with this pathology increased from 1,2 to 21,5 per 1 0.000 of population from 1975 to 2002. Тhе specific gravity was 2, І% -4% in patients with diabetic retinopathy, applying to the Еуе hospitals and specific gravity was 4,5 % - 8 % in patients, who was observed at prophylactic centres from 2000 till 2002. Тhе regular ophthalmological examination of the patients with diabetis mellitus is necessary for timely diagnosis and treatment of diabetic injuries of the еуе. |
