Функціональні результати первинної імплантації гнучких інтраокулярних лінз при факоаспірації уроджених зонулярних катаракт у дітей різного віку

Abstract

Тhе functional results of congenital zonular cataracts phacoaspiration with foldable Acrysof IOL implantation in 54 children (94 eyes) aged from 2 till 15 years have been analysed. Children with cataracts have been divided into 2 groups depending оn age: the Ist (37 eyes) comprised children underwent surgery at the age before 6 years and the 2nd (57 eyes) - at the age of 7-15 years. Anterior and posterior continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis and in the bag implantation proved to bе possible in all cases. Тhе high functional results (visual acuity 0,3-1.0) after this type of congenital cataract removal with primary foldable Acrysof IOL in the bag implanta­tion were achieved in а whole in 87 ,9 %. In the group of children elder than 7 years the visual acuity 0,3-1,0 has been received in 75 ,4 % directly after operation and in 92,5 % in the remote term of observation, that authentically is higher in comparison with the parameters achieved in children of younger age (2- 6 years) - 48 ,6 % and 81, 1 % accordingly.
