Первинна імплантація ІОЛ Acrysof при факоаспирації уроджених катаракт у дітей раннього віку (1-24 місяці)

Abstract

The preoperative examination results (keratometry, US-biometry, accounting IOL power), particularities of congenital cataracts phacoaspiration with intracapsular IOL "Acrysot'' SA30Al implantation, intra- and postoperative complications, and early functional results in 46 infants (70 eyes) 1- 24 months old are reported. The most axial еуе length growth is shown in the first 9 months of child's life, simultaneously with corneal flatness, slight anterior chamber deepness and intensive increasing of vitreal cavity. The lens thickness depends not from child age, but from congenital cataract type. Accounting IOL power decreases with age, and in 2 у/о kids is closely equal to adult (25,2Д). The particularities of congenital cataract surgery and high number of intra- and postoperative com­plications (respectively 31,4% and 11,4%) especially up to 6 months old depend from anatomic and physiologic condition of infant's eyes. Obtained positive anatomical and functional results are indicated about possibility of early primary intraocular correction in infants.
