Abstract

А comparative study of repeated clinical and laboratory assessments in 80 children from З to 15 years, with virus hepatitis В was carried out in relation to the route of infaction - post-transfusion, post-injection or common hepatitis. Clearcut differences have been demonstrated in the course and outcomes of virus hepatitis В that depended on the route of infection. Post-transfusion hepatitis took а severe course. Post-injection hepatitis was milder, but tended to bе more protracted. А fainly large proportion (25%) of children had common hepatitis В virus infections. Here, the condition was mild, but tended to become protracted or chronic.
