Abstract: The osteocalcin concentration in blood serum has been analysed using the two-centered immunoenzyme method in 42 patients with rheumatoid arthritis, in 22 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus and in 32 patients with asthma. Osteocalcin is the important marker of the bone formation, that's why according its deviation we саn judge about the processes of bone remodelling, in particular - bone formation. The disturbances of bone structural-functional state as well as the reviable decrease of osteocalcin level in blood serum have been ascertained in whole patients with the long-term glucocorticoid therapy in anamnesis. The most considerable osteocalcin lowering has been fixed in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and asthma. Тhе obtained data allow to do the conclusion about the oppression of bone forming in patients with glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis, moreover this process depends on the glucocorticoid therapy duration.
