| Abstract: | In the article are outlined the conditions and dynamics of ethnocultural devenlopment of the Slovak national minority in Transcarpathia. The autor considers the complex of aspects of the devenploment of the Slovaks ethnical culture that is: the development of Slovak education in the region, the activity of folk amateur performances, conduction of meetings, festivals (e. g. "Slovenska veselica"), ethnoreligious priorities of the Slovaks (Rome Catholicism) etc. The emphasis is given to enlighten the role of the national-cultural societies in social life of the Slovaks. The main role belongs to the society "Matica slovenska" in Transcarpathia, headed by Josyp Hajnish. The author gives the conclusion about the optimistic future of ethnocultural life of the Slovaks of Transcarpathia. |
