Репрезентація концепту BEAUTY (на матеріалі мультфільмів кіностудії disney)

Abstract

Стаття присвячена дослідженню лінгвокультурних характеристик концепту BEAUTY на матеріалі мультфільмів кіностудії "Disney", а саме: музичний фільм-фентезі «Красуня і Чудовисько» (2017), мультфільм «Попелюшка» (1950), «Заплутана історія» (2010), «Крижане серце» (2013), «Принцеса і жаба» (2009). Концепт BEAUTY визнано як такий, що репрезентує уявлення носіїв мови про універсальну ознаку буття, тобто красу, що актуалізується у процесі емоційно-естетичного освоєння дійсності. В статті схарактеризовано основні підходи до вивчення концепту, якими є лінгвокультурологічний та лінгвокогнітивний. В статті проаналізовано зміст поняттєвого складника лінгвокультурного концепту BEAUTY, досліджений на матеріалі мультфільмів. Запропоновано схему цього Концепт BEAUTY визнано як такий, що репрезентує уявлення носіїв мови про універсальну ознаку буття, тобто красу, що актуалізується у процесі емоційно-естетичскладника концепту, до якого входять такі критерії, як: якість; людина; предмет; перевага; задоволення; естетика; мода; приклад. Аналіз фактичного матеріалу дав змогу визначити особливості вербальної репрезентації досліджуваного концепту. Виявлено, що концепт BEAUTY вербалізується низкою іменникових і прикметникових лексичних одиниць, які пов`язані передусім з образами головних героїв мультфільмів. Було визначено, що активним інструментом розгортання досліджуваного концепту такий художній засіб як порівняння. Зроблено висновок, що провідними рисами змісту концепту BEAUTY є властивості та якості людини, її краса внутрішня та зовнішня, духовний характер, тобто поняттєвий складник доповнюють етична та естетична оцінка концепту. В досліджуваних мультфільмах концепт BEAUTY найширше репрезентують такі лексичні одиниці, як pretty, beautiful, nice, bright, cute, lovely, charming. Для опису зовнішності чоловіка чи хлопця в досліджених мультфільмах використовують часто вживану лексему handsome. Інші лексеми конкретизують та доповнюють характеристики героїв.

The article is devoted to the study of the linguistic and cultural characteristics of the BEAUTY concept based on the cartoons of the Disney film studio such as: musical fantasy film "Beauty and the Beast" (2017), cartoon "Cinderella" (1950), "Tangled Story" (2010), "Ice Heart" (2013), “The Princess and the Frog” (2009). The concept of BEAUTY represents the idea of native speakers about the universal sign of existence, that is, beauty, which is actualized in the process of emotional and aesthetic mastering of reality. The article characterizes important approaches to the study of the concept, which are linguo cultural and lingual cognitive. The analysis of actual material made it possible to determine the main features of verbal representation of the studied concept. The chart of this concept BEAUTY is recognized as representing the idea of native speakers about the universal sign of being, that is, beauty, which is actualized in the process of the emotional-aesthetic component of the concept, which includes such criteria as: quality; man; thing; advantage; pleasure; aesthetics; fashion; example. In the study we analyzed the notional component of the linguistic and cultural BEAUTY concept, based on the material of cartoons. It was found that the BEAUTY concept is verbalized by a number of noun and adjectival lexical units, which are primarily associated with the images of the main characters of cartoons. It was investigated that such an artistic tool as comparison is an active tool for the development of the researched concept. It was concluded that the leading features of the content of the BEAUTY concept are the properties and qualities of a person, her beauty is internal and external, spiritual character, that is, the conceptual component is complemented by the ethical and aesthetic assessment of the concept. In the cartoons that were studied, the BEAUTY concept is most widely represented by such lexical units as pretty, beautiful, nice, bright, cute, lovely, charming. To describe the appearance of a man or a boy in the studied cartoons, the frequently used lexeme handsome is used. Other lexical units specify and complement the characters' characteristics.
