Горда, В. В. Функціонування юридичних термінів у художньому дискурсі (на прикладі оповідань Jeffrey Archer "The Chinese Statue", "The Coup")

Abstract

У даній статті проаналізовано стан дослідження англійської термінології, розкрито характерні особливості використання юридичних термінів у художніх текстах, зроблено акцент на специфіці використання англійської юридичної термінології в текстах з економіки, досліджено функціонування термінів у художньому дискурсі. Також висвітлено поняття терміна як окремого слова чи утворення на базі іменникового підрядного словосполучення, яке позначає професійне поняття і призначене для позначення специфічних потреб спілкування в галузі певної професії. Описано вимоги до запровадження терміна, до яких відноситься точність та специфічність. Підтримується думка сучасних науковців про те, що системність є однією з найбільш важливих умов існування терміна. Зазначено, що у юридичній лексиці майже не виявлено термінів, утворених на основі семантичного розширення слова, яке вже існує в мові. Термін може існувати лише як елемент терміносистеми, якщо під останньою розуміють впорядковану сукупність термінів, які адекватно виражають систему понять теорії, що описує спеціальну сферу людських знань чи діяльності. Об’єктом дослідження в даній статті виступає юридична та економічна терміносистема в художньому тексті оповідань Джефрі Арчера (Jеffrey Archer) «The Chinese Statue» та «The Coup». Із розвитком науки і техніки та ускладненням суспільних відносин відбувається розширення термінологічних систем. Одночасно з постійними змінами в структурі самої термінології відбувається її активне включення в художню літературу. Цей процес є результатом розвитку масової культури і проявляється в літературі через поєднання художнього з іншими функціональними стилями, в тому числі й науковим. Звідси постає питання про роль цієї термінології в художньому дискурсі та пов’язані із цим процеси, що відбуваються із самими термінами.

The aim of the article is to analyze the state of research of English terminology, to present the characteristics of the use of legal terms in literary texts, to emphasize the specifics of the use of English legal terminology in texts on economics, and to explore the functioning of terms in artistic discourse. The concept of a term as a separate word or formation on the basis of a noun subjunctive phrase, which denotes a professional concept and is intended to denote the specific needs of communication in the field of a particular profession, is also covered. The opinion of modern scientists that systematicity is one of the most important conditions for the existence of the term is supported. It is noted that in the legal vocabulary there are almost no terms formed on the basis of the semantic extension of the word, which already exists in the language. The object of research in this article is the economic and legal terminology in the literary text of the stories by Jeffrey Archer “The Chinese Statue” and “The Coup”. With the development of science and technology and the complication of social relations is the expansion of terminological systems. Simultaneously with the constant changes in the structure of the terminology itself, there is its active inclusion in fiction. This process is the result of the development of mass culture and is manifested in literature through the combination of art with other functional styles, including scientific. This raises the question of the role of this terminology in artistic discourse and the related processes that occur with the terms themselves.
