Про національний аспект документознавчої термінології

Abstract

Актуальність теми зумовлена тим, що нині ведуться пошуки шляхів інтеграції української науки про документ до західного наукового контексту, поповнюючи й видозмінюючи українську термінологію на принципах створення нових термінів та чергування запозичених терміноелементів із національними. Вибір національної чи чужомовної назви на позначення наукового поняття залишається проблемою термінології. У статті порушено важливе питання формування документознавчих термінів із тенденцією до збереження їх національної специфіки, оскільки проблема національного в українському термінознавстві завжди була актуальною і давно домінує думка про посилення інтернаціоналізації терміносистем. Термінологія, як вагома складова частина теорії науки, швидко реагує на виклики сучасних процесів практики. Тому дискусії про визначення змісту документознавчої термінології, значення окремих лексичних одиниць, доцільність їх використання відповідно до контексту, точність перекладу нині вимагає подальшого дослідження в цій галузі. Дискусійним є питання синонімії, калькування, які мають місце в термінології й зумовлюють виникненню лексичних труднощів використання багатьох документознавчих лексем. У статті висвітлено питання деформації українського мовно-культурного простору та знищення самобутнього мовного утворення. У вирі наукових дискусій важливе місце належить перегляду принципів термінологічного нормування, а також формуванню власне української документознавчої терміносистеми. Є випадки, коли еквівалент рідної мови більш точно передасть зміст поняття, а запозичення слів буде зайвим. Тому одним із вагомих завдань є формулювання загальних принципів творення нових терміноелементів і чергування запозичених із пуризмами. Ключовим є формування власне української документознавчої терміносистеми, її самобутність і співвідношення з чужомовною лексикою. Оскільки українські терміносистеми у своєму складі мають значну кількість термінів-запозичень, виникає питання про перевагу іншомовних термінів над власне українськими.

The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that today the searches are being carried for ways of integrating Ukrainian science to the Western scientific context. At the same time replenishing and modifying Ukrainian terminology on the principles of creating new terms and alternation of borrowed terms with national ones is currently under way. The problem of choosing of a national or foreign language name to denote a scientific term remains a problem of terminology. The article discusses the important issues: the formation of document term studies with a tendency to preserve their national specificity, since the problem of national terms in Ukrainian terminology was always actual. The opinion of strengthening for internationalization of terminological systems is still dominating. Terminology as an important component of the theory of science is quick to respond to the challenges of modern processes of practice. Therefore, today all discussions about the definition for the content of documentary terminology, the meaning of special lexical units, the appropriateness of their use in accordance with the context as well as the accuracy of translation requires further research in this area. The debatable issue is synonymy, calquing which take place in terminology and cause the emergence of lexical difficulties in the use of many documentary lexemes. The article touches upon the issue of deformation of the Ukrainian linguistic and cultural space and the destruction of the authentic linguistic education. In the whirlpool of scientific discussions, a special place belongs to revision of the principles of terminological standardization, as well as the formation of the Ukrainian documentary terminology proper. There are cases when the equivalent of the native language will more accurately convey the content of the concept while borrowing of words is redundant. Therefore one of the tasks is to formulate general principles for creating new term elements and alternating the borrowed ones with purisms. So the key actions should be formation of a proper Ukrainian documentary terminology system, its originality and relationship with foreign language vocabulary. Since Ukrainian terminological systems include a significant number of borrowed terms a question arises as to the superiority of foreign terms over peculiarly Ukrainian ones.
