Перекладацькі трансформації у відтворенні ономастичного простору авторського тексту

Abstract

Як відомо, власні назви є однією з мовних універсалій, науковий інтерес до яких зумовлений специфікою їх утворення та функціонування в мові. Система власних назв як результат багатовікового досвіду номінації є сукупністю різних ономастичних моделей, походження яких пов’язане насамперед з екстралінгвістичними факторами, як-от, найдавніші традиції та звичаї найменування, первісні культи й уявлення, різні етнокультурні процеси, що мали місце в історії спільноти. Не випадково вчені розглядають процес утворення власних імен як різновид кодування історико-культурної інформації. З іншого боку, вторгнення в ономастику екстралінгвістичних факторів призводить до фронтального запозичення та засвоєння іншомовних назв. Оніми мають складну смислову структуру, унікальні особливості форми й етимології, можливості видозміни та словотвору, численні зв’язки з іншими одиницями та категоріями мови. Внаслідок передачі імені чи назви іншою мовою більшість таких властивостей втрачається. Незнання чи ігнорування таких властивостей лише ускладнює ідентифікацію носія імені, адже ономастикон містить у собі не лише назви, а також є ємнісним мовним елементом, що відображає культурні особливості певного народу, які висвітлюються за допомогою мови. Труднощі у передачі власних імен іншими мовами пов’язані з недостатньою науковою розробленістю питання. Неправильне вживання власних назв – це не лише ознака неповаги до названої особи чи низького рівня освіченості при вживанні, скажімо, топонімів, а велика загроза мовній компетентності суспільства та комплексній системі колективного знання, що передається за допомогою мови. Процес перекладу власних назв є дуже специфічним та одним із найскладніших завдань. Щоб досягти вдалого перекладеного варіанту, потрібно використовувати безліч ефективних методів. Для досягнення хорошого результату перекладач повинен дослідити наявні у тексті власні назви та мати досить глибокі знання культури та традицій країни мови-оригіналу.

As we know, proper names are one of the linguistic universals, scientific interest in which is due to the specifics of their formation and functioning in the language. The system of proper names as a result of centuries-old experience of nomination is a set of different onomastic models, the origin of which is associated primarily with extralinguistic factors, such as ancient traditions and customs of naming, primitive cults and ideas, various ethnocultural processes that took place in history. It is not a coincidence that scholars consider the process of forming proper names as a kind of historical coding and cultural information. On the other hand, the intrusion of extralinguistic factors into onomastics leads to frontal borrowing and assimilation of foreign names. Onyms have a complex semantic structure, unique features of form and etymology, possibilities of modification and word formation, numerous connections with other units and categories of language. Most of these properties are lost when a name or title is transferred to another language. Lack of knowledge or ignoring of such properties only complicates the identification of the native speaker. After all, the onomasticon contains not only names, but also is a capacious linguistic element that reflects the cultural characteristics of a particular people, which are highlighted by language. Difficulties in translating proper names in other languages are due to insufficient scientific elaboration of the issue. Incorrect use of proper names is not only a sign of disrespect for the named person or low level of education in the usage, for example, toponyms but a great threat to the linguistic competence of society and the complex system of collective knowledge transmitted through language. The process of translating proper names is very specific and one of the most difficult tasks to achieve a successful translated variant you need to use many effective methods. To achieve a good result, the translator must research the proper names available in the text and have enough knowledge of the culture and traditions of that country.
