Метафоричність художнього мовлення В. Шевчука (на матеріалі повісті «Птахи з невидимого острова»)

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано особливості метафорики художнього мовлення В. Шевчука на матеріалі повісті «Птахи з невидимого острова». Мета нашої розвідки - з'ясувати роль метафори як одного з основних художньо-зображальних мовних засобів у художній тканині повісті В. Шевчука «Птахи з невидимого острова». Визначено сфери метафоричної транспозиції, особливості конвергенції художніх засобів, а також функціонування синестезійних метафор. У художньому тексті повісті В. Шевчука «Птахи з невидимого острова» метафоризації зазнають такі об'єкти: людина, фізичні відчуття, емоції та почуття, абстрактні поняття, тварини, рослини та їх частини, пори року, явища природи й астрономічні об'єкти, будівлі та їх елементи. Матеріал дослідження засвідчує, що для мови повісті В. Шевчука також властива конвергенція художніх засобів, тобто об'єднання навколо метафори інших тропів на основі виконання ними спільної стилістичної функції. Отож, проаналізований матеріал переконливо доводить, що метафори (перебуваючи у нерозривному конвергентному зв'язку з іншими художніми засобами) виступають важливим чинником текстотворення, відзначаючись широкими можливостями для характеристики ідіостилю письменника та індивідуальних особливостей його персонажів. Метафоричні словосполучення стають виявом словесно- художньої естетизації письменником картини світу.

V. Shevchuk’s artistic writing became the study subject of many scholars, while пе айіпог'8 individual style was analyzed quite widely. Metaphor as a means of modeling the artistic world attracts a special attention of scholars. However a lot of aspects in this field are still insufficiently studied, which has determined the relevance and novelty of the study. The aim is to clarify the role of metaphor as one of the main artistic and figurative linguistic means in the artistic language of V. Shevchuk’s novella ‘Birds from an Invisible Island’.In the literary text of V. Shevchuk’s novella ‘Birds from an Invisible Island’ metaphorization covers such objects as: man, physical sensations, emotions and feelings, abstract terms, animals, plants and their parts, seasons, natural phenomena and astronomical objects, buildings and their elements. The material under study testifies, that the language of V. Shevchuk’s novella is also characterized by the convergence of expressive means, namely the union of other figures of speech around metaphor on the basis of their common stylistic function: identification of the individual author's picture of the world, activation of the reader's imagination with the help of polysensor images and various types of expressive means. As a result of such convergence, expanded syntactic constructions, which enable convincing and vivid depiction, are created. Thus, the analyzed material convincingly proves that metaphors (being in an inextricable convergent connection with other expressive means) are important factors of text formation, giving great possibilities for characterizing the author's individual style and the characters’ individual peculiarities. Metaphorical phrases become a display of verbal and artistic aestheticization of the writer’s picture of the world.
