Явище полісемії у системі українських комп'ютерних термінів

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано явище полісемії в українській комп’ютерній терміносистемі та простежено тенденцій її розвитку. Розглянуто основні типи термінологічної полісемії та виявлено особливості її прояву. Актуальність статті зумовлена потребою впорядкувати та стандартизувати галузеву терміносистему, що вимагає насамперед ґрунтовного вивчення різних типів семантико-парадигматичних відношень між її компонентами, одним із яких є явище полісемії. Щоб досягти мети, було зреалізовано такі завдання: описано явище полісемії в українській комп’ютерній термінології, визначено типи взаємовідношень між значеннями полісемійних комп’ютерних термінів, виявлено їхню продуктивність. У термінології, як і в літературній мові, моносемія терміноодиниць тривалий час не зберігається, з інтенсивним розвитком науки та техніки виникають нові поняття, котрі потребують називання, для цього використовують загальновживане слово або термін іншої галузі, тоді раніше відома лексема набуває нового значення і стає моносемною. Структура такої лексеми містить сукупність значень і вживань, утворює певну систему взаємопов’язаних і взаємозумовлених елементів. Розщеплення значень терміна характерне для семантичних явищ полісемії й омонімії. Вивчення явища багатозначності засвідчує, що вона властива українській комп’ютерній терміносистемі, виокремлено такі три типи полісемії: внутрішньосистемну, зовнішньосистемну, міжсистемну. Вагомою причиною розвитку багатозначності термінів є еволюція поняття, що зумовлює виникнення нових значень і відтінків. Внутрішньосистемна полісемія хоч і стає засобом мовної економії, однак є небажаним явищем, оскільки ускладнює наукову комунікацію. Найпродуктивнішою є міжсистемна полісемія, за якої для номінації комп’ютерних явищ, пристроїв, процесів переосмислюють різногалузеві терміни, і навпаки, комп’ютерні терміни активно поповнюють галузеві терміносистеми. Зауважуємо взаємодію та взаємовплив одиниць різних терміносистем, коли тлумачення того чи того поняття переносять на уявлення про поняття іншої фахової галузі, таким чином, відбувається перенесення наукової думки з однієї галузі в іншу. Полісемія у галузевій терміносистемі вказує на її розвиток відповідно до мовних принципів і законів, тому таке явище продовжує існувати.

The article analyzes the phenomenon of polysemy in the Ukrainian computer terminology system and traces the trends of its development. The main types of terminological polysemy are considered and the peculiarities of its manifestation are revealed. The relevance of the article is due to the need to streamline and standardize the field of terminology, which requires first of all a thorough study of different types of semantic-paradigmatic relationships between its components, one of which is the phenomenon of polysemy. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were implemented: the phenomenon of polysemy in Ukrainian computer terminology was described, the types of relationships between the meanings of polysemous computer terms were identified, and their productivity was identified. In terminology, as in literary language, the monosemia of terminological units is not preserved for a long time, with the intensive development of science and technology there appear new concepts that require naming, using a common word or term of another field, then the previously known token acquires a new meaning and becomes monosemic. The structure of such a token contains a set of meanings and uses, forms a certain system of interconnected and interdependent elements. The splitting of the meanings of the term is characteristic of the semantic phenomena of polysemy and homonymy. The study of the phenomenon of ambiguity shows that it is inherent in the Ukrainian computer terminology, the following three types of polysemy have been identified: intrasystemic, extrasystemic, intersystemic. An important reason for the development of ambiguity of terms is the evolution of the concept, which leads to the emergence of new meanings and shades. Although intrasystem polysemy becomes a means of language economy, it is undesirable because it complicates scientific communication. The most productive is intersystem polysemy. For the nomination of computer phenomena, devices and processes diversified terms are reconsidered and vice versa computer terms are actively replenishing branch terminologies. We notice the interaction and interplay units of different terminologies units, when the interpretation of a concept is transferred to the idea of another branch, thus transferring scientific thought from one branch to another. Polysemy in the branch terminology system indicates its development in accordance with linguistic principles and laws, and therefore such a phenomenon continues to exist.
