Простори війни в романі С. Жадана «Інтернат»

Abstract

Стаття присвячена аналізові особливостей простору війни в романі С. Жадана «Інтернат». Особливу увагу зосереджено на прослідковуванні паралелей між шляхом головного героя роману в окупованому місті та Дантовим сходженням до пекла. Розглянуто становище мешканців окупованого простору як позбавлене права на здобуття власного голосу та власної історії. Змалювання простору війни неминуче супроводжується в романі використанням метафор смерті.

The research analyses the peculiar features of the space of a war in Serhiy Zhadan’s novel “The Boarding School”. The main attention is paid to the investigation the parallels between the road of a main character of the novel – Pasha – and Dante’s character who goes down to hell. Pasha goes through the real hell on earth – the city under the occupation by enemy’s army. It is also analyzed the specialty of people’s situation in the space of a war. They lose their rights to have their own voice and to be heard. They lack their opportunity to tell their life story. Now they just don’t have it. The investigation of a space of a war is completed by analyze of metaphors of the war.
