«Вода й мари» Кьоко Морі: поетика заголовка

Abstract

У статті розкриваються складні семантичні та поетологічні зв’язки назви твору японсько-американської письменниці Кьоко Морі «Вода й мари» з працею французького філософа Ґ. Башляра «L’eau et les rêves». Досліджується спорідненість художньої ідеї, образності, тематики твору Кьоко Морі з концепцією образу води Ґ. Башляра. Аналізується багатозначність водних образів твору «Вода й мари», які пов’язані з глибоким естетичним і почуттєвим переживанням. На матеріалі твору розкрито ключові образи води як сну, що повторюється, течії річки спогадів, води пам’яті в океані та озері, води як образу матері та дому. Показано співвіднесення образу води з життям між двох світів: минулого та теперішнього, між Японією та Америкою.

This article brings into focus complex semantic and poetic relations of the title of memoir “The Dream of Water” by Japanese American writer Kyoko Mori and “L’eau et les rêves” by French philosopher Gaston Bachelard. Special consideration is given to the similarities of Kyoko Mori’s literary idea and imagery to Bachelsrd’s concept of water. The article analyses the variety of the water imagery in “The Dream of Water”, which conveys deep aesthetic and emotional experience of the author. The central images of water as recurring dream, a river of the past, and an ocean of memories, water as the image of mother and home are studied on the material of Kyoko Mori’s writing. The research shows how water imagery represents inner flow of the author’s life “in-between”, the present and the past, Japan and America.
