Поняття «етнічність» та «етнічна ідентичність» у контексті сучасних лінгвістичних досліджень

Abstract

У сучасному світі, характерними рисами якого є міграційні процеси, етнічне та культурне змішання, зростає інтерес представників різних галузей знань до категорії етнічності, етнопроцесів, їхніх історичного, культурного, філософського та лінгвістичного складників. Стаття присвячена вивченню динаміки репрезентацій етнічності в різних типах дискурсивних практик і виявленню специфіки концептуалізації етнічності в англомовному соціумі. У сучасній вітчизняній науці справедливо підкреслюються переваги інтегрованого підходу до трактування цієї категорії, що сприяє формуванню уявлення про етнічність і етнос як без онтологізуючого етнічність примордиалізму, так і без крайніх проявів конструктивізму, сфокусованого на суб’єктному продукуванні соціального світу. Автором встановлено, що характерні ознаки етнічності і національності багато в чому збігаються (перетинаються на основі метонімічних зв’язків). У статті визначено, що суміжність розглянутих понять в аспекті мовної концептуалізації виражається в тому, що їх лексичним експлікатором може бути одна і та ж лексема. Автором підсумовано, що у вивченні проблем етнічності, зокрема питань міжетнічних взаємодій, у вітчизняній науці сьогодні переважаючим залишається історико-етнографічний підхід, а поняття «етносу» для багатьох дослідників припускає існування гомогенних функціональних і статичних характеристик, які відрізняють одну групу від інших, що володіють іншим набором подібних характеристик. Сучасна конструктивістська концепція етнічності бере під сумнів подібний погляд на культурну ідентичність, звертаючи увагу насамперед на її процесуальну (соціально конструйовану) природу, рухливий і полікультурний характер сучасних суспільств, на практичну відсутність культурних ізолятів. У статті також проаналізовано поняття «метроетнічність», яка розуміється автором як стирання кордонів між етнічними групами і є особливою формою гібридизації та фрагментації, що полягає у етнокультурних запозиченнях як традицій, стилю та манери поведінки певного етносу (запозичення зовнішньої атрибутики етнічності), так і духовних цінностей.

The modern world is characterized by migration processes, ethnic and cultural mixing, the interest of representatives of different branches of knowledge in the category of ethnicity, ethnic processes, their historical, cultural, philosophical and linguistic component is growing. The article is dedicated to the study of the dynamics of ethnic representation in different types of discursive practices and to identify the specific conceptualization of “ethnicity” in the English-speaking society context. Modern Ukrainian science emphasizes the benefits of an integrated approach to the interpretation of this category, which contributes to the formation of ideas about ethnicity and ethnicity both without the ontologizing ethnicity of primordialism, and without extreme manifestations of constructivism, focused on the subjective world. The author found that the characteristic features of ethnicity and nationality largely coincide (intersecting on the basis of metonymic connections). The article determines that the contiguity of the considered concepts in the aspect of linguistic conceptualization is expressed in the fact that their lexical explicator may be the same token. The author has summarized that in studying ethnic problems, including issues of interethnic interactions, the historical and ethnographic approach is still predominant in national science, and the concept of “ethnos” for many researchers assumes the existence of homogeneous functional and static characteristics that differ from one another, which differ from one another; others with a different set of characteristics. The contemporary constructivist concept of ethnicity calls into question a similar view of cultural identity, paying particular attention to its procedural (socially constructed) nature, the mobile and multicultural nature of modern societies, and the practical absence of cultural isolates. The article also analyzes the concept of “metro-ethnicity”, which is understood by the author as blurring the boundaries between ethnic groups and is a special form of hybridization and fragmentation, which consists in ethno-cultural borrowing as a tradition, style and behavior of a certain ethnic group (borrowing external spiritual and spiritual), values.
