Модель змісту концепту АЕРОПОРТ у романі Артура Хейлі «AIRPORT»

Abstract

У статті висвітлюється процес створення остаточної моделі змісту концепту AIRPORT такою, як вона представлена в романі Артура Хейлі ‘Airport’. Автор спирається на дослідження мовної бази вербалізації концепту AIRPORT у романі і бере за основу модель змісту концепту AIRPORT загалом. Для проведення коректного лінгвокогнітивного моделювання концепту важливо розрізняти поняття змісту та структури концепту. На основі словникових дефініцій визначено параметри інформаційного змісту цього поняття і на цій основі виокремлено ключові когнітивні ознаки. Узагальнивши когнітивні ознаки, виокремлені вище, автор об’єднав їх в основні групи. Об’єктивація концепту літературно-художнього твору відбувається на основі мовних засобів. Положення щодо польової структури організації змісту концепту AIRPORT у романі Артура Хейлі отримало ґрунтовне підтвердження. Цей концепт формує концептуальний простір роману, що є фрагментом концептуальної картини світу, яка відображає особливості фахової діяльності у сфері авіаперевезень, а отже, концептуальний простір роману є відображенням картини фахового світу. Широка лексична база, що представлена переважно термінологічною і фаховою лексикою, стала продуктивним засобом актуалізації концепту AIRPORT / АЕРОПОРТ у романі Артура Хейлі. У процесі дослідження когнітивно-семантичних особливостей концептуального простору роману Артура Хейлі “Airport”, відображення концептуального простору фахового середовища аеропорту в тематичній структурі роману та мовної бази вербалізації концептів, що структурують фаховий простір роману відповідно до фахової специфіки реального інституціонального середовища індустрії авіаперевезень, було розроблено модель змісту концепту AIRPORT в однойменному романі Артура Хейлі, із внесенням певних коректив у загальну модель змісту концепту AIRPORT / АЕРОПОРТ.

This article highlights the process of creating а final content model of the AIRPORT concept, as presented in Arthur Haley’s novel ‘Airport’, based on a study of the linguistic basis of verbalization of the AIRPORT concept in the novel and on a general AIRPORT concept content model. To conduct a correct linguistic-cognitive modeling of the concept, it is important to distinguish between the content of the concept and the structure of the concept. On the basis of dictionary definitions the parameters of the information content of this concept are determined, and on this basis the key cognitive features are singled out. Having summarized the cognitive features highlighted above, the author grouped them into the main groups. The objectification of the concept of a literary and artistic work is based on linguistic means. The claim about the field structure of the organization of the content of the AIRPORT concept in Arthur Haley’s novel has been thoroughly confirmed. This concept forms the conceptual space of the novel, which is a fragment of the conceptual picture of the world, that reflects the features of professional activities in the field of air transport, and, consequently, the conceptual space of the novel is a reflection of the professional world. The broad lexical base, represented mainly by terminological and professional vocabulary, has become a productive means of updating the concept of AIRPORT in Arthur Haley’s novel. Having investigated the cognitive-semantic features of the conceptual space of Arthur Haley’s novel “Airport”, the reflection of the conceptual space of the professional environment of the airport in the thematic structure of the novel and the linguistic basis of verbalization of concepts that structure the professional space of the novel in accordance with the professional specifics of the real institutional environment of the air transport industry, a model of the content of the AIRPORT concept was developed in the Arthur Haley’s novel “Airport”, with certain adjustments to the general model of the content of the AIRPORT concept.
