Афористичність роману «Сад Емерсона» («El huerto de Emerson») Луїса Ландеро

Abstract

У статті висвітлено афористичність автобіографічного роману «Сад Емерсона» Луїса Ландеро. З’ясовано стан досліджености в українській іспаністиці постаті популярного літератора та публіциста Л. Ландеро і його творчости. Перелічено творчі здобутки іспанського письменника на ниві романістики за останнє десятиліття. Окреслено жанрові особливості «Саду Емерсона». Представлено найпоширеніші в українській та іспанській філологічних традиціях визначення афоризмів. На базі обраних визначень афоризму перелічено найвірогідніші критерії афористичности. Проінтерпретовано кожен критерій і розкрито його зв’язок із функціонуванням афоризму. Із тексту роману виокремлено речення, які можна зараховувати до афористичних, беручи до уваги зазначені критерії. Описано особливості розповсюдження афоризмів авторства Л. Ландеро у кожному із п’ятнадцяти розділів «Саду Емерсона» залежно від тематики та властивостей наративу. Здійснено художній переклад окремих афоризмів, виокремлених із роману. Пояснено, які зовнішні чинники генерують афористичну сутність влучних висловлювань Луїса Ландеро. Досліджено внутрішню структуру афористичних висловлювань, присутніх у романі «Сад Емерсона». Вказано на структурну подібність окремих афоризмів Л. Ландеро із жанром грегеріяс Рамона Гомеза де ла Серни, іспанського письменника-авангардиста початку ХХ ст. Проаналізовано зв’язок афоризмів роману «Сад Емерсона» із реалізацією різних функцій мови – і основних, і факультативних. Встановлено прагматичну унікальність афористичних висловлювань відповідно до функцій мови, які вони реалізовують. З’ясовано ролю афоризмів у наративі роману «Сад Емерсона». Визначено перспективи наукових досліджень, пов’язаних із явищем афористичности, зокрема з особливостями будови, виникнення, функціонування та найменування різних можливих реалізацій афористичного жанру.

The paper covers the aphoristic character of autobiographic novel “Emerson’s Garden” by Luis Landero. The state of research concerning the figure and works of L. Landero (popular author and publicist) in Hispanic studies in Ukraine is examined in the paper. His major novels for the last decade are mentioned. Genre specificities of “Emerson’s Garden” are outlined. The most popular definitions of aphorisms in Ukrainian and Spanish philological traditions are presented. Based on the chosen definitions of aphorism, the most probable criteria for aphoristic character are identified. Each criterion has been interpreted and its connection with the functioning of aphorism has been demonstrated. The sentences have been identified in the text of the novel which may be treated as aphoristic taking into account the criteria mentioned. The specific features of aphorisms distribution in L. Landero’s novel are demonstrated for each of fifteen chapters of “Emerson’s Garden” depending on the topics and the narrative features. Artistic translation has been proposed for some of the aphorisms identified in the novel. It is explained what external factors generate the aphoristic character of Luis Landero’s utterances. The internal structure of aphoristic remarks in “Emerson’s Garden” has been investigated. It has been demonstrated that some of L. Landero’s aphorisms are structurally similar to the greguerías genre of Ramón Gómez de la Serna (Spanish avant-garde writer of early 20th century). The analysis is provided of how “Emerson’s Garden” aphorisms are connected with the actualization of various functions of language, including major and optional functions. The pragmatic uniqueness of aphoristic statements has been established in accordance with the functions of language that they actualize. The role of aphorisms in the narrative of “Emerson’s Garden” has been elucidated. The prospects of further research into the aphoristic phenomena has been specified, in particular those connected with the structure, emergence, functioning, and naming of various possible manifestations of the aphoristic genre.
