Власні назви в текстах ЗНО та ЄВІ в ракурсі вивчення англійської мови

Abstract

Стаття присвячена дослідженню власних назв у текстах ЗНО та ЄВІ. Метою дослідження є аналіз функціонування власних назв на матеріалі англійської мови. Об’єктом дослідження є власні назви в екзаменаційних текстах ЗНО та ЄВІ. Предмет дослідження – функціональні особливості власних назв. Мета визначає вибір методів у дослідженні: використано загальнонаукові методи систематизації, аналізу й синтезу, кількісний аналіз. Серед спеціальних лінгвістичних методів залучено структурний, функціональний, які прислужилися у визначенні особливостей структури екзаменаційного тексту, і функцій власних назв у текстах ЗНО та ЄВІ. У статті представлена коротка характеристика структури екзаменаційних текстів ЗНО та ЄВІ, а також виокремлено певні структурні особливості власних назв у текстах. Підсумовуючи вищезазначене, можемо підкреслити, що вперше проведено аналіз власних назв у тестах ЗНО та ЄВІ на матеріалі англійської мови. Проаналізувавши онімний простір екзаменаційних текстів, зробили також висновки, що він вибудовується переважно за допомогою топонімів, антропонімів, ідеонімів, ергонімів і хрононімів. У результаті розвідки доведено, що власні назви в текстах ЗНО та ЄВІ сприяють кращому розумінню культури англомовних країн, а також установлено, що оніми, які представлені в онімному просторі тестів ЗНО та ЄВІ, пов’язані з картиною світу носіїв англійської мови, тобто з історією, звичаями і традиціями англомовних країн, а саме: Об’єднаного Королівства Великобританії та Північної Ірландії, Сполучених Штатів Америки. Практична цінність роботи полягає в тому, що проведений аналіз онімів в екзаменаційних текстах ЗНО та ЄВІ відкриває перспективи подальших досліджень, які можуть бути пов’язані з виявленням функціонування онімів у фахових текстах англійською мовою, які аналізуються в немовних вищих навчальних закладах.

It became necessary to investigate the problem concerning the study of the proper names in the examination texts the External Independent Evaluation (ZNO) and Single Entrance Exam (EVI). The article is devoted to the study of proper names in the examination texts. The purpose of the study is to analyze proper names functioning on the material of the English language. The object of research is proper names in examination texts. The subject of research is the functional features of proper names. The purpose determines the choice of methods in our study. First of all, we used the general scientific methods of systematization, analysis and synthesis, besides, the quantitative analysis was used. Among the special linguistic methods we used structural and functional ones which served to determine the features of the examination text structure and the functions of onyms. The article presents a brief description of the examination texts structure, as well as it highlights the certain structural features of proper names in examination texts. Summarizing the above mentioned, we can emphasize that an analysis of onyms of examination texts in English help to understand culture and tradition of the English- speaking countries. As a result of the investigation, the peculiarities of proper names functioning in the English world picture were studied. Each type of proper names is illustrated by concrete example from the advertising. After analyzing the onomastic space of examination texts, it was also concluded that it was built mainly with the help of toponyms, anthroponyms, chrononyms. The practical value of the work is that the analysis of the proper names in examination texts opens up prospects for further research that may be associated with the detection of the proper names functioning in professional texts at the higher educational institutions.
