Проблеми перекладу засобів логічної експресивності в англомовних науково-технічних текстах різних сфер

Abstract

Стаття присвячена дослідженню актуального для сучасного перекладознавства питання засобів вираження логічної експресивності в науково-технічних текстах різних сфер використання. Актуальність питання зумовлена проблемою передачі чи непередачі засобів вираження експресивності перекладачем у процесі перекладу. У свою чергу, ця проблема ґрунтується на залежності від сфери використання текстів певного призначення, що прямо залежить від типу аудиторії, на яку спрямоване сприйняття цих текстів. Ця проблема також зумовлюється компетентністю перекладача в питаннях виявлення та розрізнення вживаної автором тексту експресивності, як і доречності її передачі для текстів окремих сфер використання (безпосередньо практичний аспект). Крім того, у статті розглядаються особливості експресивності як стилістичного засобу, а також різноманітні способи її вираження в наукових текстах. Розглядаються також різні погляди на доречність уживання експресивності для наукового стилю. Досліджується аспект уживання засобів логічної експресивності як явища інтелектуального підсилення передачі логічного змісту наукових знань. Крім того, підкреслюється вживання такого стилістичного засобу, як порівняння, як найпоширенішого способу передачі експресивності. Також у роботі проаналізовано приклади науково-технічних текстів різних сфер використання, написаних у рамках особливостей наукового стилю, на предмет пошуку засобів вираження логічної експресивності наукового стилю та розглядання механізмів їх перекладу. У висновках підсумовуються особливості вживання експресивності в текстах наукового стилю. Також підкреслюється важливість урахування перекладачем функції експресивності як елемента-зв’язки для порозуміння між автором і читачем при передачі певної інформації. Пропонується проведення подальшого дослідження тематики, що розглядається в статті. Зокрема, доречним і цікавим уважається розглянути питання вживання засобів експресивності в прагматичному аспекті.

The article is devoted to researching logical expressiveness means in scientific and technical texts of different fields that is relevant for modern translation studies. The relevance of this question can be proved by considering the problem of whether or not a translator should reproduce the expressiveness means during the translation process. In addition, this problem is based on the dependence of specific texts on the field of usage which directly depends on the type of audience towards which the perception of these texts is directed. This problem is also based on the competence of a translator in identifying and distinguishing the expressiveness used by an author as well as the appropriateness of its translation for texts of different fields of usage (basically practical aspect). Moreover, the article considers the features of expressiveness as a stylistic means, as well as different ways of its application in scientific texts. Also, the papers consider different views on the appropriateness of the expressiveness applying for the scientific style. We analyze the aspect of applying the logical expressiveness means as a phenomenon of intellectual emphasizing in transferring the logical sense of scientific knowledge. Furthermore, we stress the usage of such stylistic means as a comparison in the function of the most common way of transferring the expressiveness. The article also analyzes four examples of scientific and technical texts from different fields of usage, written considering the features of scientific style in order to find the logical expressiveness means in scientific style and to study the mechanisms of their translation. The conclusions summarize the features and purposes of the logical expressiveness usage in the scientific texts. We also emphasize the importance of the translator's consideration of the expressiveness in the function of a communication element for understanding between an author and a reader during transmitting certain information. We would like to propose the further research of the topic discussed in the article. In particular, we consider it appropriate and interesting to study the usage of the expressiveness means in a pragmatic aspect.
