Д. Маркович, Б. Грінченко: життя на користь України

Abstract

У статті досліджено творчі взаємини Д. Марковича та Б. Грінченка крізь аналіз архівних матеріалів, віднайдених рукописів; уведено в науковий обіг рецензію Марії Загірньої на твори Дмитра Марковича з виправленнями, записами, зробленими рукою Бориса Грінченка; виявлено, що гласний Дмитро Маркович у «Доповіді № 166… Про недоліки шкільної освіти» цитував працю Бориса Грінченка «На беспросветном пути: об украинской школе» (1907); з’ясовано суголосні напрями громадсько-освітньої діяльності знаних в українській спільноті патріотів. Нині важливим є подолання інерції в сприйнятті літературного процесу, його постатей, нове осмислення архівних матеріалів, культурних взаємодій минулого і сьогочасного. Метою дослідження є виявлення, оприлюднення раніше не відомих широкому загалу архівних матеріалів, пов’язаних із діяльністю Д. Марковича, Б. Грінченка, а також зіставлення їхніх біографій. Доба 80–90-х рр. ХІХ ст. була чи не найскладнішою для формування нової України в російських реаліях, проте саме в цей період на тогочасному історичному тлі з’являється патріотично налаштоване покоління українських діячів (юристів, державотворців, письменників, культурних діячів, економістів тощо). Зміна часу, його реалій є незворотним процесом. Нині актуальними є такі слова Д. Марковича: «треба жити по-новому, люблячи людей». Адже над усім повинні стояти загальнолюдські принципи існування на цій землі, про що своїм життям засвідчили Б. Грінченко, Д. Маркович. Формування української нації – процес тривалий і важкий, проте історичні й культурні тенденції, які відбувалися в період її становлення, заслуговують на особливу увагу сучасних дослідників. Патріотично налаштована інтелігенція сприяла втіленню національних прагнень кінця ХІХ – поч. ХХ ст. У дослідженні здійснено порівняльний аналіз важливих життєвих подій Б. Грінченка і Д. Марковича, як-от перебування в Херсоні, членство в Українській радикальній партії, в товаристві «Просвіта», співпраця в «Громадській Думці», публікації тощо.
