Аналіз концепта «heart / серце» у фразеологізмах англійської та української мови з погляду ознакового підходу

Abstract

У даній статті розглядаються фразеологічні одиниці (ФО) англійської мови зі словом «heart» (серце) та фразеологізми української мови зі словом «серце», як невід’ємну частину концептів «heart» та «серце». Вивчення концепту «серце» є ще одним кроком до розгадки феномену національного характеру, розширення уявлень про лінгвістичний образ світу, розуміння специфіки іноземної культури, що є одним із пріоритетів сучасного глобалізованого світу. Це визначає актуальність дослідження. Основну увагу автор концентрує на дослідженні концепту «heart» та концепту «серця» у фразеології англійської та української мови, а також проводить порівняльний аналіз представлення цього концепту з погляду ознакового підходу. Вибір компонента «heart» обумовлений тим, що цей концепт характеризується високою продуктивністю. ФО з цим компонентом досить чисельні і мають високу частотність вживання. Аналіз проводився на основі великого англо-українського фразеологічного словника К.Т. Баранцева. [4], словника сучасних англійських ідіом Т.Г. Соломоніка [5], академічного тлумачного словника української мови [6],англо-російського словника В. К. Мюллера [7], Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary of Current English [8], Longman Dictionary of English Idioms [9], Richard A. Spears American Idioms Dictionary [10]. Автор демонструє застосування ознакового підходу для аналізу зібраного матеріалу на основі якого виділяє всі ознаки у наступні класи: 1) структурні ознаки; 2) фізичні ознаки; 3) функціональні ознаки; 4) психоемоційні ознаки. Зазначені концепти свідчать про особливості сприйняття світу носіями зі зіставних мов як у семантичному, так і національно-культурному плані. На основі проведеного аналізу досліджених одиниць, автором були виявлені деякі закономірності: значна схожість структурної організації та відмінності фразеологізмів в обох мовах, які допомогли нам розширити знання про концепти «heart» та «серце» в англійській та українській мовах. Більшість англійських та українських фразеологізмів з компонентом «heart» збігаються за змістом та образністю, оскільки цей пласт лексики загальновживаний і не пов’язаний з національними чи історичними особливостями народів. Аналіз фактичного матеріалу засвідчив, що українська та англійська картини світу схожі.

This article considers the phraseological units (FU) of the English language with the word "heart" and the phraseology of the Ukrainian language with the word «sertse» as an integral part of the concepts of «heart» and «sertse». Studying the concept of «heart» is another step towards solving the phenomenon of national character, expanding ideas about the linguistic image of the world, understanding the specifics of foreign culture, which is one of the priorities of today's globalized world. This determines the relevance of the study. The author focuses on the study of the concept of «heart» and the concept of «sertse» in the phraseology of English and Ukrainian, as well as conducts a comparative analysis of the presentation of this concept in terms of the feature approach. The choice of the «heart» component is due to the fact that this concept is characterized by high performance. FU with this component are quite numerous and have a high frequency of use. The analysis was conducted on the basis of a large English-Ukrainian phraseological dictionary K.T Barantseva. [4], a dictionary of modern English idioms T.G. Solomonika [5], Academic Interpretive Dictionary of the Ukrainian Language [6], English-Russian Dictionary by V.K Mueller [7], Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary of Current English [8], Longman Dictionary of English Idioms [9], Richard A. Spears American Idioms Dictionary [10]. The author demonstrates the application of the feature approach to the analysis of the collected material on the basis of which distinguishes all the features in the following classes: 1) structural features; 2) physical signs; 3) functional features; 4) psycho-emotional signs. These concepts indicate the peculiarities of the perception of the world by speakers of comparable languages in both semantic and national-cultural terms. Based on the analysis of the studied units, the author identified some patterns: significant similarities in structural organization and differences in phraseology in both languages, which helped us expand our knowledge of the concepts of «heart» and «sertse» in English and Ukrainian. Most English and Ukrainian phraseologies with the component «heart» coincide in meaning and imagery, as this layer of vocabulary is common and not related to national or historical characteristics of peoples. The analysis of the factual material showed that the Ukrainian and English pictures of the world are similar.
