Інтермедіальна складова роману Дена Брауна «Інферно»

Abstract

Статтю присвячено визначенню ролі інтермедіальної та інтертекстуальної складової у розвитку сюжету роману Дена Брауна «Інферно». Досліджуються різні варіанти використання екфрастичних елементів, визначення яких ґрунтується на досягненнях сучасних літературознавчих розвідок. Оскільки головний герой роману культуролог, професор релігійної символіки (однак він цікавиться символікою взагалі), це є свідченням широкої освіченості. Теж саме можна сказати про автора: щоб адекватно розкрити поставлені завдання, реалізувати взаємодію літератури з іншими видами мистецтва – малярством, скульптурою, архітектурою, – слід бути надзвичайно обізнаним у широкому колі проблем. Інколи подібних митців називають універсалістами. Деякі аспекти теми, винесені у назву статті, налічують достатню бібліографію; особливо це стосується інтермедіальності, зокрема – екфрасису. Достатньо згадати сучасних дослідників: Л. Геллера, В. Силантьєву, М. Рубінс, Л. Генералюк, Н. Мочернюк та інших. Цей аспект у досліджуваному романі літературознавцями не розглядався. Зауважимо, що дослідники поки що в цілому не приділили творчості Дена Брауна належної уваги саме з точки зору наукового аналізу, а це визначає актуальність даної розвідки. Всі романи Брауна можна віднести до романів змішаної жанрової структури. У деяких з них автор поєднує інформацію зі світу мистецтва (різних його видів) з історичною, медичною, технологічною тощо. Відносно подібних творів все частіше використовується термін «роман-розслідування». Романи письменника цілком відповідають цьому визначенню: авантюрно-детективний сюжет супроводжується інтелектуальною складовою, викликаною логікою розслідування, а головне – існування культурологічного аспекту. Найчастіше це історія, насичена великою кількістю визначних імен зі світу мистецтва і їхніх творів Подібні романи набувають певного пізнавального значення і захоплюють пересічного читача осягненням культури минулого і сучасного. Тема даного дослідження надзвичайно перспективна, проблеми, окреслені у статті, потребують розширення. Зокрема, для підтвердження правильності висловлених думок, необхідно проаналізувати зміст інших творів письменника, тим самим підтвердити, що використання інтермедіальної та інтертекстуальної складової є стильовою рисою творчості письменника.

The article deals with defining the role of the intermediate and intertextual component in the development of the plot of Dan Brown's novel "Inferno". Various variants of the use of ephrastic elements are studied, the definition of which is based on the achievements of modern literary studies. Since the protagonist of the novel is a culturologist, a professor of religious symbolism (but he is interested in symbolism in general), this is an evidence of widespread education. The same can be said about the author: in order to reveal the tasks properly and to realize the interaction of literature with other arts - painting, sculpture, architecture - you need to be extremely aware of a wide range of problems. Sometimes such artists are called universalists. Some aspects of the topic mentioned in the title of the article have a sufficient bibliography; this is especially true of intermediality, in particular - ekphrasis. It is worth mentioning modern researchers: L. Geller, V. Silantiev, M. Rubins, L. Generaliuk, N. Mochernyuk and others. This aspect was not considered by literary critics in the studied novel. Researchers have not still paid much attention to the works of Dan Brown in terms of scientific analysis, and this determines the relevance of this paper. All Brown's novels can be attributed to the novels of mixed genre structure. In some of them the author combines information from the world of art (its various types) with historical, medical, technological and others. The term "investigative novel" is increasingly used in relation to such works. The writer's novels fully meet this definition: the adventurous-detective plot is accompanied by an intellectual component caused by the logic of investigation, and most importantly - the existence of the culturological aspect. In most cases it is a story full of many prominent names from the world of art and their works. Such novels acquire a certain cognitive value and attract an average reader with learning of the culture of the past and present. The topic of this study is extremely promising, the problems outlined in the article should be expanded. In particular, to confirm the significance of the views expressed, it is necessary to analyze the content of other works of the writer, thus confirming that the use of intermediate and intertextual components is a stylistic feature of the writer's work.
