Вербальні засоби об’єктивізації мовленнєвої мімікрії (на матеріалі кінострічки “Catch Me if You Can”)

Abstract

У представленій роботі розглядається феномен мовленнєвої мімікрії як засобу саморепрезентації комуніканта в діалогічній інтеракції з метою реалізації його комунікативної інтенції. Актуальність роботи випливає із загальної спрямованості мовознавства на вивчення конкретних шляхів досягнення ефективності мовленнєвого спілкування та засобів реалізації комунікативної інтенції як результату діалогової взаємодії і підкріплюється певною прогалиною, наявною у мовознавстві при вивченні об’єктивізації вербальної мімікрії в діалозі. Дана наукова розвідка зосереджена на виявлені вербальних засобів мімікрії, застосованих протагоністом фільму «Catch Me if You Can» Френком Ебігнейлом, який представляє професійне мовлення вчителя, пілота, поліцейського, лікаря і адвоката. Здійснений у процесі дослідження уважний аналіз синтаксичних моделей його мовленнєвих партій уможливлює виявлення прихованих механізмів психологічної маніпуляції, якими користується головний герой кінострічки. Шляхом визначення питомої ваги формально-синтаксичної структури речень, які герой використовує для імітації мовлення різних людей у процесі роботи, визначено ключові особливості професійного спілкування, характерних для п’яти професіоналів. Автори продемонструють, як за допомогою вдалого використання мовленнєвої мімікрії досягається ефективність комунікації. Завдяки вербальним і невербальним перетворенням у представників різних професій головному герою вдається здійснювати психологічний вплив на свідомість співрозмовників, таким чином, спонукаючи їх повірити шахраю. Проведене наукове дослідження показує, що використання спеціальних психологічно-комунікативних технік сприяє створенню у реципієнта хибного, або помилкового враження про особистість мовця та забезпечує ефективність його комунікативного повідомлення.

This paper looks at the phenomenon of the speech mimicry as a means of the communicant’s self-representation in the dialogue interaction for the purpose of fulfilling his/her communicative intention. The topicality of the work stems from the general orientation of linguistics at studying specific ways of reaching effectiveness of the speech communication and means of realising one’s communicative intention as the result of the dialogue interaction. The urgency of the research is also reinforced by a certain gap existing in linguistics in the study of objectivization of verbal mimicry in the dialogue. The given work is focused on singling out verbal instruments of the speech mimicry practised by Frank Abagnale, the protagonist of the film “Catch me if you can”, as he represents professional language of a teacher, a pilot, a police officer, a doctor and a lawyer. The close analysis of syntactic models of his speech parties undertaken in the process of investigation reveals the hidden mechanisms of psychological manipulation employed by the main character of the film strip. By means of analyzing specific gravity of the formal structure of sentences used by the protagonist to mimic the speech of different people, this study identifies the key features of professional communication typical of five different professionals. The author tried to demonstrates, how effectiveness of speech communication is achieved through the apt use of the speech mimicry. Due to his verbal and non-verbal transformations into representatives of different professions, the main character manages to produce a psychological impact on the consciousness of his interlocutors, thus, inducing them to believe the swindler. The carried out scientific research shows that the use of special mental and communicative techniques makes it possible to create a false or distorted impression of the speaker’s personality with his/her audience and grants effectiveness of his/her communicative message.
