Особливості сербської та хорватської мов на лексичному рівні

Abstract

Serb and Croatian standards - in the past variants of Serbo-Croatian language have some peculiarities on all language levels, especially on the lexical level. The existence of unified language brought to the usage in Serb standard "croatizams" and in Croatian - "srbizams". The predicament of users of Serb language to Croatian words is tolerant, the opposition exists in general to Croatian forms of the same words and word building affixes. At the same time Croatians don't tolerate either words or their components on Serb base. For Croatian vocabulary is specific returning the words in its active usage, artificially eliminated from it during the existence of common language. The existence of unified Serbo-Croatian language couldn't bе influenced on Serb and Croatian vocabulary. That is the reason of having more similarities than it would have if its development had been taken рІасе before the 19 century.
