Художнє втілення стоїчних мотивів у романі В. Дрозда «Інна Сіверська, суддя»

Abstract

Наукова розвідка присвячена репрезентації стоїчних мотивів у моноцентричному романі «Інна Сіверська, суддя» (1985 р.) українського письменника другої половини ХХ століття В. Дрозда. До аналізу його твору зверталися В. Брюгген, Л. Донченко, М. Жулинський, С. Тримбач, В. Панченко, О. Січкар, Л. Федоровська та інші літературознавці, які зосередили увагу на образах персонажів, проблематиці, ідеї художнього тексту тощо. У нашій студії з’ясовано, що в прозовому зразкові, незважаючи на авторське дотримання догм соцреалізму, постає модель загартованого духом героя, концепція якого співзвучна не тільки з радянською ідеологією, а й зі світоглядом стоїцизму. У статті це аргументовано через окреслення дотичних і віддалених векторів між філософією римських стоїків (Епіктета, Марка Аврелія, Сенеки) та комуністичною міфосистемою. Відтак виявлено, що у творі «Інна Сіверська, суддя» наявний комплекс стоїчних мотивів, як-от: фатуму, жертовності, аскези, конфронтації, незламності, смиренності, мудрості, внутрішньої свободи, безстрашшя, рефлексії. Названі мотиви є домінантними в аналізованому романі та реалізуються насамперед у принципах характеротворення головної героїні та ідейному задумі. Так прозаїк утверджує думку, згідно з якою тільки сильна, вольова й чесна людина здатна досягти внутрішньої свободи, а отже, щастя. Епік у розкритті стоїчних мотивів використовує бінарні опозиції («раціональне – ірраціональне», «особисте – громадське», «герой – антигерой», «звірине – людське» тощо), літературні прийоми (протиставлення, ідеалізація, маска, психологізм, ретроспектива та інші), вписує в сюжетну канву твору прихованого антагоніста, послуговується загальновідомою колізією «право сили проти сили права» тощо. У ході аналізу було доведено, що ця стаття є перспективним дослідженням у літературознавчій науці, оскільки вона уможливлює ґрунтовне вивчення домінантних мотивів творчого доробку В. Дрозда 1970–1980 років.

The research is devoted to the representation of stoic motifs in the monocentric novel «Inna Siverska, the Judge» (1985) written by Ukrainian author of the second half of the 20th century V. Drozd. The literary heritage of V. Drozd and the novel, in particular, was analyzed by such critics as V. Briuhhen, L. Donchenko, M. Zhulynskyi, S. Trymbach, V. Panchenko, O. Sichkar, L. Fedorovska, etc. These literary critics focused their attention on the images of the characters, problems, ideas of the artistic text, and so on. The research has revealed an appearance of a model of a spirit-hardened hero, whose concept is consonant with both Soviet ideology and the worldview of Stoicism, despite the author`s observance of the dogmas of socialist realism. The statement is proved in the paper by outlining adjoined and distant vectors between the philosophy of the Roman Stoics (Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius, Seneca) and the communist myth system. Thus, a presence of a complex of stoic motifs, such as fate, sacrifice, asceticism, confrontation, steadfastness, firmness, humility, wisdom, inner freedom, fearlessness, and reflection was found in the novel «Inna Siverska, the Judge». The author of the research has came to the conclusion that the named motives are dominant in the analyzed novel and are realized primarily in the principles of character development of the main character and ideological idea of the novel. In such a way V. Drozd asserts the opinion that only a volitional, strong-willed, and honest person is able to achieve inner freedom and, therefore, happiness. To reveal stoic motifs the writer uses binary oppositions («rational–irrational», «personal–social», «hero–antihero», «animal–human», etc.), literary techniques (contrast, idealization, mask, hidden psychologism, retrospect, and so on), incorporates a hidden antagonist into the plot of the work, uses the well-known conflict «the right of force against the force of law», etc. In the process of the analysis, this article has shown evidence to become a promising study in literary science, as it enables a thorough study of the dominant motifs of V. Drozd`s work in the 1970s and 1980s.
