Abstract

The author has been investigating the history of formation and the problems of modern functioning of Rumanian press in Ukrainian-speaking and polyethnic surroundings. Analyzing "Apsha" and "Maramorensheny" the scientist comes to the conclusion that for rather а short period of time (for two last years) these newspapers have created their own image and have taken the leading рІасе in Transcarpathian Mass Media. At the same time the investigator uncovers some short - comings of these newspapers: lack of critical and analytical materials concentration upon narrow national - cultural problems, shortage of journalistic staff, imperfect technical design, etc.
