| Abstract: | More than 20 lexemes which represent the Baltic origain functionate amona proper names in Ukrainian. This is the name of the state Lytva and its derivatives, 12 surnames with the root Lytv-/Lytov of the type Lytvak, Lytvyn, Lytvitskiy, Lytovets. The collective ethnonym Lytva "Lytvian реорІе", was used before. The first records of these in Carpathians take рІасе in XIV-XV centuries. Their appearance in Transcarpathia is associated with the resettlement of prince F.Koriatovich. Most of the onyms are exactly Ukrainian but in some cases (Lytvay) beina Hunaarian suffixal derivatives/ Semantic evolution of the lexeme "Lytva" oriainated from the collective ethnonym and ended as an anthroponym. |
