Засоби емоційно-інтелектуального впливу на читачів у виданні «Таємниці походження всесвіту» Лоуренса М. Краусса

Abstract

У статті йдеться про особливості науково-популярного викладу в розвідці Лоуренса М. Краусса «Таємниці походження всесвіту». Проаналізовано засоби увиразнення тексту, з’ясовано їхнє комунікативно-прагматичне навантаження. Виявлено інтелектуальні емоції, що сприяють оцінному осмисленню здобутків теоретичної фізики. Помітно, що видання вирізняється не лише сферою досліджень, а й яскравою мовною особистістю автора, оригінальною манерою викладу. Відзначено, що комунікативна роль оповідача зумовлює невимушену, неформальну взаємодію співрозмовників. Визначено такі засоби діалогічності: дискусійні запитання, емоційно позначені мовні формули, елементи белетристичності, змодельовані ситуації. Розглянуто літературні ремінісценції, що органічно зв’язують наукове пізнання з художнім мисленням: в абстрактно-логічних умовиводах відчутний відгомін фантастичних сюжетів Льюїса Керрола та Свіфта, казкової антитези краса – потворність, оксиморона Мілана Кундери, драми Шекспіра, детективів Агати Крісті, алегорії Платона, героїчного епосу та ін. Своєрідною зв’язувальною рамкою є дібрані епіграфи до розділів (біблійні уривки) та цитати Вергілія. Простежено образні аналогії, які зближають те, що далеке і не зв’язане, споріднюють науку та повсякдення. Відзначено, що деякі приклади глибоко споріднюють висвітлення теорії з мистецьким світовідчуттям та світобаченням, як-от образи велетенського Всесвіту (шахівниці з чорними та білими клітинками, крижаного кристала на віконному склі). Виявлено образні перифрази та метафоричні описи, що виражають авторське ставлення до об’єкта дослідження. Окреслено спектр інтелектуальних емоцій, які не суперечать об’єктивності: шок, подив, щастя, розчарування, сумнів, благоговіння, сподівання та ін. Виокремлено суб’єктивно-оцінні епітети, що формують в аудиторії емоційне ставлення до проблем, праць, ідей, теорій, видатних науковців, об’єктів і результатів досліджень. Доведено, що науково-популярний текст має винятковий потенціал впливу на свідомість – не лише інтелектуального, а й мовно-естетичного та емоційного. Розгляд виражальних засобів засвідчив активну авторську настанову – залучати охочих до неоднозначної проблематики, впливати не лише на їхні знання, уявлення, а й емоційне ставлення до фізики елементарних частинок та питань космології. Перспектива дослідження – розглянути вияви комунікативної вправності та мовну експресію в сучасних популярних розвідках, з’ясувати, завдяки яким чинникам виклад стає динамічним, доступним, виразним.

The article demonstrates the peculiarities of popular scientific exposition in Lawrence M. Krauss's book "The Greatest Story Ever Told – So Far: Why Are We Here?". The means of vividly presenting the text are analyzed, and their communicative and pragmatic significance is clarified. Intellectual emotions that contribute to evaluative comprehension of theoretical physics achievements are identified. It is noticeable that the publication stands out not only in terms of research areas, but also due to the author's colorful linguistic personality and original style of narration. It is noted that the communicative role of the narrator promotes an easygoing informal interaction between interlocutors. The following means of dialogism are identified: discussion questions, emotionally marked linguistic formulas, elements of fiction, modeled situations. Literary reminiscences that organically link scientific knowledge with artistic thinking are examined: in abstract-logical conditions, there is a resonance of fantastic plots of Lewis Carrol and Swift, the fairytale antithesis of beauty and ugliness, the oxymoron of Milan Kundera, Shakespeare's dramas, Agatha Christie's detective stories, Plato's allegory, heroic epic, etc. The selected epigraphs (passages from the Bible) and quotes from Virgil serve as a distinctive connecting framework for the chapters. Figurative analogies that bring together distant and unrelated concepts that connect science and everyday life are discovered. It is shown that some examples deeply link the coverage of theory with artistic perception and worldview, such as images of the giant Universe (chessboard with black and white squares, frozen crystal on a windowpane). Figurative paraphrases and metaphorical descriptions expressing the author's attitude toward the research object are revealed. A range of intellectual emotions that do not contradict objectivity are outlined: shock, wonder, happiness, disappointment, doubt, reverence, hope, etc. Subjective evaluative epithets that shape the audience's emotional attitude toward problems, works, ideas, theories, outstanding scientists, objects, and research results are singled out. It is proven that a popular science text has exceptional potential to influence consciousness, not only intellectually but also linguistically, aesthetically and emotionally. The analysis of expressive means confirms the active advice if the author – to involve those interested in ambiguous issues, to shape not only knowledge and understanding but also emotional attitudes toward the physics of elementary particles and questions of cosmology. The research prospect is to examine the manifestations of communicative skill and linguistic expression in modern popular explorations, to clarify the factors that make the narration dynamic, clear, and expressive.
