Про походження деяких угорських географічних термінів, що функціонують в Ужгороді

Abstract

У статті розглядаються угорські географічні терміни, які заrальновживанні в Ужгороді. У словникових статтях проаналізовано географічні терміни та їх варіанти, їх перша фіксація угорськими та українськими писемними пам'ятками. Це дало змогу застосувати порівняльно - історичний метод дослід­ження і зіставити старі назви, зафіксовані у письмових пом'ятках та географічних картах, з сучасними назвами.

The Geographical names of Uzhhorod and its suburbs have been studied from the points of view of their etymology and sociolinguistics bу means of descriptive, linguogeographical and comparative- historical methods. The results of the research are of both theoretical and practical value. The vocabulary articles contain geographical names and their variants, their first fixation bу Hungarian and Ukrainian written documens. It enabled us to conpare the old geographical names given in written documents and on the maps, with the presens ones.
