Компетентнісний підхід у викладанні перекладу

Abstract

В статті розглядаються головні аспекти підготовки молодих перекладачів через призму компетентнісного підходу до викладання іноземної мови. Визначаються основні критерії якісного перекладу в різних галузях знань: медичній, юридичній, технічній, літературній. Розглядаються дієві прийоми навчання молодих перекладачів відповідно до вимог кожної конкретної профільної галузі в контексті узгодження мовознавчих компетенцій з вузькопрофільними дисциплінами, як-от переклад інструкцій, рецептів, юридичних документів, тощо. Висвітлюються основні підходи до успішного навчання перекладацької діяльності як вітчизняних, так і зарубіжних науковців. Звертається увага на основні елементи перекладацького інструментарію – граматичного і лексичного; аналізуються прийоми, які застосовуються перекладачами найчастіше. Звертається увага на важливість другої фахової освіти перекладача, а також необхідність здобуття навичок профільного перекладу ще під час навчання в університеті, розвиваючи необхідні для цього компетенції. В дослідженні порівнюються особливості перекладу текстів різної тематичної направленості. Увага наголошується на важливості «фонових» знань перекладача, вмінні при необхідності користуватися довідковою літературою, необхідними комп’ютерними програмами, а також розумінні особливостей літературного простору, в якому перекладачеві доводиться існувати впродовж роботи, тобто – глибинному розумінні галузі знань, над текстом якої він працює. Матеріали дослідження направлені і на висвітлення ідеального образу молодого перекладача: компетентного, вмотивованого, ерудованого. Окрема увага в статті приділена художньому перекладу: проаналізовані необхідні перекладацькі компетентності, як-от літературний смак, відчуття авторського стилю, відчуття міри і доречності власних додавань та інтерпретацій. На основі раніше проведених досліджень окреслюються головні критерії компетентного перекладу, які доповнюються прикладами із «живих» замовлень. Матеріали, наведені в дослідженні, є насиченими, а результати – обґрунтованими, і таким чином уможливлюється їх практичне застосування у вищій школі, під час стажування в бюро перекладів, перших кроків в роботі в якості незалежного перекладача-фрілансера, тощо.

The article deals with the main aspects of young translators’ training through the competent approach to the teaching of a foreign language. The main criteria of quality translations have been identified in the different branches of knowledge such as medicine, law, science and technology, fiction. The effective methods of teaching translation to young translators according to the requirements of each specific specialized subject in the context of the agreement linguistics competencies with narrow profile disciplines such as translating manuals, prescriptions, legal documents, etc. have been considered. Also, the main approaches to the successful teaching of domestic and foreign scholars have been covered. The core elements of translation instrumentation have been highlighted, namely grammatical and lexical; the techniques that are the most frequently used by translators have been considered. The importance of the second specialized education of a translator has been emphasized as well as the importance of the acquisition of specialized translation skills during the time of studying at the university, developing the needed competencies. In the study, the peculiarities of the translation in different thematic focuses and the importance of background knowledge of a translator have been highlighted and also the ability to use reference books, computer programs, and the understanding of the literature space in which a translator exists throughout the work, therefore a deep understanding of the branch of knowledge a text from which is being translated. The research materials have been aimed to show the ideal image of a young translator: competent, motivated, and erudite one. Special attention has been focused on literary translation; the needed competencies of a translator have been analyzed such as literary taste, the feeling of the author’s style, sense of proportion, and appropriateness of own adding and interpretations. Based on the previous research, the main criteria for competent translation have been outlined, which have been completed by examples from real-life cases. The article’s materials are saturated and the results are justified, thus there is the possibility for their practical implementation in higher education, during the internship in a translation agency, the first steps as a freelance translator, etc.
