Запозичення як джерело поповнення документознавчої термінології української мови

Abstract

Статтю присвячено вивченню особливостей і закономірностей розвитку термінологічних одиниць, які номінують наукові поняття галузі документознавства. До таких одиниць належать, зокрема терміни наукових дисциплін, де документ є основним об’єктом дослідження. У статті схарактеризовано вітчизняну документознавчу термінологію як окрему терміносистему української мови. Детально проаналізовано актуальні дослідження з теми. Надано коротку історичну характеристику документознавчої термінології української мови. Встановлено чинники впливу на розвиток української термінології у галузі документознавства. Розглянуто умови функціонування документознавчої термінології в українській мові, а також перспективи її розвитку. Обґрунтовано доцільність використання запозиченої лексики у випадку, якщо мові не вистачає внутрішніх ресурсів для номінації тих чи інших явищ або предметів. Розкрито причини та наслідки інтеграції іншомовних термінів в українську документознавчу терміносистему. Визначено, що поповнення документознавчої термінології української мови через запозичення іншомовних одиниць є цілком доцільним і необхідним процесом для адаптації мови до сучасних реалій, розвитку технологій та міжнародної співпраці. Встановлено, що для успішного впровадження запозичень документознавчої термінології важливо дотримуватись такої послідовності: відбір термінів, адаптація термінів, пояснення термінів, вживання термінів відповідно до контексту, узгодженість термінів. Доведено, що поповнення документознавчої термінології через запозичення іншомовних одиниць є важливим етапом у розвитку мови, адже це дозволяє виразно та точно передавати нові поняття, процеси та методи в документознавстві. Зроблено спробу розкриття питання співвідношення національного і запозиченого в українській документознавчій терміносистемі. Визначено іноземні мови, які найбільше сприяли поповненню українського документознавчого словника та наведено приклади запозичених галузевих термінів. Простежено явище мовного пуризму та схарактеризовано його доцільність в межах документознавчої термінології української мови.

The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities and rules of the development of terminological units that nominate scientific concepts in the field of documentation science. Such units include, in particular, the terms of scientific disciplines where the document is the main object of research. The article characterizes the domestic documentation terminology as a separate term system of the Ukrainian language. Current research on the topic has been analyzed in detail. A brief historical description of the documentation terminology of the Ukrainian language has been provided. Factors influencing the development of Ukrainian terminology in the field of documentation studies have been established. The conditions of the functioning of documentation scientific terminology in the Ukrainian language, as well as the prospects for its development, have been considered. The expediency of using borrowed vocabulary has been substantiated if the language lacks internal resources for the nomination of certain phenomena or objects. The reasons and consequences of the integration of foreign language terms into the Ukrainian documentation terminology system have been revealed. It has been determined that replenishing the documentation terminology of the Ukrainian language through the borrowing of foreign language units is a completely appropriate and necessary process for adapting the language to modern realities, technology development, and international cooperation. It has been established that for the successful introduction of borrowings of documentation terminology, it is important to follow the following sequence: selection of terms, adaptation of terms, explanation of terms, use of terms in accordance with the context, consistency of terms. It has been proven that replenishment of the documentation terminology through the borrowing of foreign language units is an important stage in the development of the language, because it allows one to clearly and accurately convey new concepts, processes and methods in documentation science. An attempt was made to reveal the issue of the ratio of national and borrowed in the Ukrainian documentation terminology system. The foreign languages that most contributed to the replenishment of the Ukrainian documentation vocabulary have been identified, and examples of borrowed industry terms are given. The phenomenon of linguistic purism has been traced and its expediency has been characterized within the framework of the Ukrainian documentation terminology.
