Номінації образів світового дерева як ключ до розуміння давнього українського весілля

Abstract

У статті розглянуто номінації образів рослинного, пташиного, тваринного походження, а також образу весільного гільця, що формують модель Світового дерева як важливого концепту української картини світу в контексті давнього українського весілля. Установлено зв’язок образів весільних хлібних виробів рослинної, пташиної, тваринної семантики з образами хлібних виробів українців новорічного та великоднього циклів як елементів утворення образу Дерева життя в міфології наших предків. Проаналізовано архаїчну язичницьку основу образів Маланки та Василя, яка вплинула на формування образів обрядових хлібів. Виділено численні номінації на зразок жито, пшениця, барвінок, калина, шишки, пташенята, пташки, гуси, голуби, лебеді, сова, совеня, совенята, вужики, ведмідь, колосочки, букетик, смужечка, верба, травичка тощо, які допомагають зрозуміти співвіднесеність кожної тварини й рослини з тим місцем, яке вона займає в картині світу наших предків, і роллю, яку вона виконує. Пояснено концепт парності окремих образів хлібних виробів пташиної тематики. Окрему увагу звернено на символіку таких образів, як барвінок, калина, жито, сова, качка, вуж, пташки. Досліджено семантику образу весільного гільця як моделі Дерева життя. Доведено, що номінації дерево, вишня, сосна, прутики, гільце, верхівка, виганяйло, стовбур, гілочки, різки та ін. гільця та його частин є домінантними для формування образу Світового дерева. Проаналізовано номінації матеріалів, з яких виготовляли гільце та його атрибути. З’ясовано, що названі номінації пов’язані з іншими номінаціями весільного концептуального поля, такими як молоді, дружки, старша дружка, бояри, жито, пшениця, квітка, велика квітка, плоди, гроші, тарілка, стрічки, калач, коровай, рушник, шишка, зубчики, хрестовина, хлібина, зерно, вода, врожай. Описано весільні обряди, які проводили з гільцем, та подано фразеологічні одиниці на їх позначення. На прикладі матеріалу говірок різних регіонів України зроблено висновок, що образ гільця є символом єднання двох родів, переходу молодих у новий статус, утворення нової сім’ї, запліднення, продовження та збереження роду, здоров’я, добробуту, багатства, довгого й вірного подружнього життя, а українське Cвітове дерево є багатокомпонентним архаїчним образом, який містить уявлення наших предків про устрій Всесвіту.

The article considers the nominations of images of plant, bird, animal origin, as well as the image of the wedding branch, forming the model of the World Tree as an important concept of the Ukrainian picture of the world in the context of an ancient Ukrainian wedding. It establishes connection of images of wedding bread products of plant, bird, animal semantics with images of bread products of Ukrainians of New Year and Easter cycles as elements of formation of the image of the Tree of Life in the mythology of our ancestors. The archaic pagan basis of the images of Malanka and Vasily was analyzed, which influenced the formation of ritual loaves images. Allocated numerous nominations like rye, wheat, periwinkle, viburnum, cones, chicks, birds, geese, pigeons, swans, owl, owl, owls, beetles, bear, ears, bouquet, stripes, willow, grass, etc., which help to understand the correlation of each animal and plant with the place it occupies in the picture of the world of our ancestors, and the role it performs. The concept of parity of individual images of poultry bread products is explained. Special attention is paid to the symbolism of such images as periwinkle, viburnum, rye, owl, duck, snake, birds. The semantics of the image of the wedding branch as a model of the Tree of Life are investigated. It is proved that the nominations tree, cherry, pine, twigs, sleeve, branch, banished, trunk, twigs, incisors, etc. for the designation of the branch and its parts are dominant for the formation of the image of the World Tree and its parts. The nominations of materials from which the branch was made and its attributes were analyzed. It is turned out that these nominations are associated with other categories of the wedding conceptual field, such as newlyweds, bridesmaids, elder bridesmaid, boyars, rye, wheat, flower, large flower, fruits, money, plate, ribbons, kalach, loaf, towel, cone, teeth, cross, bread, grain, water, harvest. The wedding ceremonies that were held with the branch are described, and phraseological units for their designation are presented. On the example of the dialects of different regions of Ukraine, it was concluded that the image of the branch is a symbol of the unity of two genera, the transition of the newlyweds to a new status, the formation of a new family, fertilization, the continuation and preservation of the family, health, well-being, wealth, long and faithful married life, and the Ukrainian World Tree is a multicomponent archaic image that contains the idea of our ancestors about the structure of the Universe.
