Оцінність та емотивність парламентських дебатів Сполученого Королівства Великої Британії та Північної Ірландії

Abstract

У статті детально досліджено вербальний план вираження емотивного та оцінного компонентів значення у межах політичного дискурсу парламентських дебатів Сполученого Королівства Великої Британії та Північної Ірландії. Характерним для політичного дискурсу стає превалювання емотивного, афективного та оцінного компонентів над інформаційним планом вираження, що зумовлює дієвість проведення парламентських дебатів. Емотивність та оцінність британських парламентських дебатів ґрунтується на спонтанності та неможливості передбачити розвиток інтеракцій між комунікантами в парламентській залі, їхню вербальну поведінку та реакції на висловлення. Типовою рисою політичної комунікації у британському парламенті є агресивний, яскраво виражений конкурентний стиль комунікативної взаємодії учасників парламентських дебатів. взаємні глузування та обмін жартівливим репліками забезпечують гостру критику діяльності опонентів, зниження чи руйнування їхнього позитивного іміджу у політичному житті суспільства. Члени британського парламенту послуговуються різноманітними емотивними засобами, позитивно та негативно конотованими лексичними одиницями, які слугують привертання та фокусування уваги на певній інформації під час парламентських дебатів. Оцінність та емотивність висловлень учасників дебатів ґрунтується на постійному залученні опозиції свій–чужий при продукуванні комунікації. У цьому дослідженні проаналізовано особливості вживання позитивно та негативно конотованої лексики, найчастіше уживаних вигуків, які передають ставлення та емоції комунікантів британських парламентських дебатів. Детально розглянуто специфічні лінгвістичні та екстралінгвальні особливості формування та функціонування деяких метафоричних моделей, якими оперують учасники дебатів для успішності обговорення існуючих проблем внутрішньої політики під час засідань Палати Громад британського парламенту у період пост-Тетчеризму незалежно від провладної партії.

This article concentrates on the studying of emotive and evaluative components’ verbal realization in the political discourse of the British parliamentary debates. Political discourse is characterized by the emotive, affective and evaluative components prevalence over informative component of expression. Emotiveness and evaluation in the UK parliamentary debates are specified by spontaneity and impossibility to predict the interaction of the communicants, their reactions and verbal behaviour. The typical feature of the political communication in the UK parliament is an aggressive, vivid, competitive style of interaction reflected in the verbal form of presentation. Mockery and jokes provide for better and deeper criticism of the opponents in the political communication, illumination of their positive image in the political life of the society. The members of the British parliament are well-known for their eloquence in producing effective speeches, they highly use various emotive positive and negative interjections that fill their speeches with emotiveness and evaluation, serving to pay attention to certain information in the parliamentary debates. Communcants in the parliamentary debates prefer expressing their attitude by means of different lexemes with evaluative component of meaning, realizing the opposition of positive attitude of their allies and negative attitude towards the opponent.The analysis determines cognitive background and extralinguistic factors influencing the usage of metaphoric models in the British parliamentary debates that stimulate public attention and promote communicants dominance in the discussions in the House of Commons. Such debates represent the events and phenomena regardless the party that gains majority in the UK parliament. This research also deals with the factors that include the events and phenomena related to the political, economic and social spheres of the British society. The paper analyses the Hansards of the UK parliamentary debates. Such debates represent the events and phenomena of the post –Thatcher period.
