Abstract

Стаття присвячена аналізу вербалізації концепту WAR у дискурсі англомовних ЗМІ. Війна є одним з найважливіших явищ у людській історії, що має величезний вплив на суспільство, культуру та політику. Розуміння концепту війни допомагає краще розуміти минулі та сучасні конфлікти, а також їхні наслідки для людства. Вивчення концепту дозволяє розуміти мовні засоби, використовувані для представлення війни в медіа, та їхній вплив на суспільну думку та поведінку. The article analyses the verbalisation of the WAR concept in the discourse of the English-language media. War is one of the most important phenomena in human history, which has a huge impact on society, culture and politics. Understanding the concept of war helps to better understand past and present conflicts and their consequences for humanity. War is one of the main objects of political analysis, and the study of the concept helps to analyse political conflicts, international relations and state strategies. English-language discourse plays a key role in global communication, so the way this concept is verbalised can influence the international community's perception and reaction to war and conflict. In addition, the analysis of the verbalisation of the WAR concept allows us to highlight various aspects of war, including its causes, consequences, ethical issues and possible solutions. This contributes to the understanding and discussion of complex problems related to war and helps to form an adequate response to them in society. The study aims to reveal the linguistic strategies used by the media to manipulate the concept of WAR in society and to understand their impact.
