Стилістично-функціональні особливості фразеологізмів у творах детективного жанру

Abstract

Стаття присвячена розгляду функцій фразеологічних одиниць на основі романів Агати Крісті та Дороті Лі Сеєрс. У мовознавстві існує постійний дослідницький інтерес до питання вивчення фразеологізмів та їхнього відтворення в перекладі. У сучасному науковому дискурсі дослідники продовжують дискутувати щодо багатогранності значень та вживання певних фразем, сталості та їхньої варіативності в мові. Детективний жанр користується популярністю серед читачів, адже віддзеркалює інтриги, кульмінації та несподіванки. Автори цього жанру вдаються до різноманітних прийомів та стилістичних модифікацій під час опису подій та втілення образів героїв. Уміння правильного тлумачення фразеологічної одиниці надає читачеві чіткого розуміння сюжетної лінії. У цій розвідці увагу зосереджено на аспекті стилістично-функціональної варіативності використання фразеологічних одиниць у детективному жанрі, а також на особливостях та специфіці їхнього вжитку в мові. Однією з найчастіше вживаних функцій є емоційно-експресивна, яка відповідає за опис емоційного стану людини, її переживань, тривоги та радості. Письменники вдаються до використання цієї функції задля того, щоб реципієнт переживав ті самі хвилювання, що й герої в книзі. Проведений аналіз низки емоційно-експресивних фразеологічних одиниць дозволяє дійти висновку, що в детективному жанрі автори здебільшого використовують їх для вираження розпачу, жалю, скорботи та злості. Фразеологічні порівняння автори зазвичай впроваджують у текст з метою надання ситуації більш гострого відтінку зацікавленості та напруженості. Апелятивна функція проступає переважно в діалогах, що надає героям експресивності, жвавості та правдоподібності. Це, у свою чергу, сприяє швидшому сприйняттю репліки читачем. Прагматична функція, що вказує на ставлення мовця до висловлюваного, чітко характеризує відношення героя до подій та інших персонажів у творі.

The article is devoted to consideration of the functions of phraseological units based on the novels of Agatha Christie and Dorothy L Sayers. In linguistics, there is a constant research interest in the study of phraseological units and their reproduction in translation. In the modern scientific discourse, researchers continue to discuss the multifaceted meanings and use of certain phrases, stability and their variability in language. The detective genre is popular among readers, because it reflects intrigue, culmination and surprises. The authors of this genre resort to various techniques and stylistic modifications when describing events and embodying the characters' images. The ability to correctly interpret a phraseological unit provides the reader with a clear understanding of the plot line. In this investigation, attention is focused on the aspect of stylistic and functional variability of the use of phraseological units in the detective genre, as well as on the features and specificity of their use in language. One of the most frequently used functions is emotional-expressive, which is responsible for describing the emotional state of a person, his experiences, anxiety and joy. Writers resort to using this feature to make the recipient experience the same excitement as the characters in the book. The analysis of a number of emotionally expressive phraseological units allows us to conclude that in the detective genre, authors mostly use them to express despair, pity, grief and anger. Authors usually introduce phraseological comparisons into the text in order to give the situation a sharper tone of interest and tension. The appellative function appears mainly in dialogues, which gives the characters expressiveness, liveliness and believability. This, in turn, contributes to the faster perception of the replica by the reader. The pragmatic function, which indicates the attitude of the speaker to what is expressed, clearly characterizes the attitude of the hero to the events and other characters in the work.
