Метафоризація як засіб термінотворення на прикладі комп’ютерних термінів

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано термінологічні одиниці, утворені шляхом метафоризації; на основі семантичного аналізу української комп’ютерної термінології виокремлено типи метафоричних терміноодиниць, поширених в комп’ютерній терміносистемі, простежено семантичні перетворення загальномовних лексем на терміни, з’ясовано роль метафори в таких процесах. Дослідження специфіки метафоричних процесів в українській комп’ютерній термінології набуває особливої актуальності, адже в умовах невпинного розвитку комп’ютерних наук спостерігаємо динамічний розвиток терміносистеми і стрімке зростання кількості метафоризованих терміноодиниць, що матеріалізують наукове поняття та стають складниками наукової картини світу. У роботі використано загальнонаукові та конкретно наукові, тобто лінгвістичні методи дослідження. На підставі семантичного аналізу здійснено тематичну класифікацію досліджуваного матеріалу, а також проведено зіставлення вихідного й похідного значень термінів. На основі компонентного аналізу здійснено дослідження семантичних модифікацій термінів і загальновживаних слів, виявлено мінімальні складники семантики слова, визначено динаміку сем, аналіз словникових дефініцій залучено для уточнення семантичної структури терміноодиниць. Виявлено, що процеси метафоризації є потужними чинниками формування комп’ютерної термінології. Аналіз комп’ютерних терміноодиниць, утворених шляхом метафоризації, засвідчує, що поява нових термінів відбувається й на основі метафоризації загальновживаних слів, і на основі метафоризації термінів з інших галузей знань. Найпоширенішим видом утворення нових термінів шляхом зміни семантики загальновживаного слова є називання за схожістю ознак або за схожістю функцій. Комп’ютерні терміни, запозичені з інших галузей, указують на взаємодію терміносистем та розвиток механізмів метафоризації. Метафоризовані терміни мають високий рівень інформативності, допомагають пояснити нові факти в термінології.

Terminological units formed by metaphorization are analyzed in the article; on the basis of the semantic analysis of Ukrainian computer terminology, the types of metaphorical term units common in the computer terminological system were distinguished, the semantic transformations of universal lexemes into terms were traced, and the role of metaphor in such processes was clarified. The study of the specifics of metaphorical processes in Ukrainian computer terminology acquires special relevance, because in the conditions of the continuous development of computer sciences, we observe a dynamic development of the term system and a rapid increase in the number of metaphorized term units that materialize a scientific concept and become components of the scientific picture of the world. The work uses general scientific and specifically scientific, that is, linguistic research methods. On the basis of semantic analysis, a thematic classification of the studied material was carried out, as well as a comparison of the original and derived meanings of the terms. On the basis of the component analysis, the study of semantic modifications of terms and commonly used words was carried out, the minimal components of the semantics of the word were identified, the dynamics of sem were determined, the analysis of dictionary definitions was involved to clarify the semantic structure of term units. Metaphorization processes were found to be powerful factors in the formation of computer terminology. The analysis of computer term units formed by metaphorization proves that the emergence of new terms occurs both on the basis of the metaphorization of commonly used words and on the basis of the metaphorization of terms from other fields of knowledge. The most common type of formation of new terms by changing the semantics of a commonly used word is naming by the similarity of features or by the similarity of functions. Computer terms transferred from other fields indicate the interaction of term systems and the development of transfer mechanisms. Metaphorized terms have a high level of informativeness, help to explain new facts in terminology.
