Трипільська культура в науково-популярній інтерпретації Докії Гуменної

Abstract

У статті аналізуються причини зацікавлення діаспорної письменниці Докії Гуменної дохристиянською історією України, коментується жанрова специфіка науково-популярних творів автора «Благослови, мати!», «Родинний альбом», «Минуле пливе у прийдешнє». В українську літературу Д. Гуменна увійшла в 1920-1930-ті роки. Прагнення писати правду завадило реалізації її мистецького таланту в радянській Україні. Переважна більшість творів автора була опублікована в еміграції. У пошуках себе письменниця захопилася вивченням культури дохристиянської доби в Україні, була учасницею археологічних розкопок трипільських поселень. Д. Гуменна вперше в українській літературі вдалася до реконструкції подій минулого, не зафіксованих писемними джерелами. Художні (роман «Золотий плуг», романи «Велике цабе», «Небесний змій», збірка мікроновел «Прогулянка алеями мільйоноліть») та науково-популярні (есеї «Благослови, мати», «Родинний альбом», «Минуле пливе у прийдешнє») твори присвячені цій темі. Родзинкою літературних досягнень письменниці є її науково-популярна проза, присвячена трипільській та скіфській культурам. В есеях «Благослови, мати!», «Родинний альбом», «Минуле пливе у прийдешнє» наукова інформація корелює з авторським вимислом. Мова творів образна, що сприяє доступності сприйняття інформації. В основу епічних текстів цього жанру покладено аргументований діалог про культуру минулих епох. Авторка використовує професійну термінологію, цитує наукові праці, висловлює свою позицію щодо досягнень стародавніх цивілізацій. Виклад різнофахового матеріалу в есеях «Благослови, мати!», «Родинний альбом», «Минуле пливе у прийдешнє» ґрунтується на законах риторики. Авторка звертається до читача, пояснює хід своєї думки чи вибір об’єкта аналізу. Композиція творів нагадує наукове дослідження. У кінці есеїв подано список використаної літератури. Тексти творів поділені на сюжетно цілісні розділи, які наповнені відомостями з археології, етнографії, лінгвістики та інших галузей знань. Діалог із читачем емоційний, насичений численними риторичними фігурами, домислами, про що свідчать як тексти творів, так і передмови до них. Ефект читацької довіри до історико-археологічного матеріалу в науково-популярній прозі Д. Гуменної створюється через використання наукової та художньої оповідних манер. Мовна канва творів насичена метафорами, авторськими неологізмами, риторичними запитаннями та окликами.

The article analyzes the reasons for the diaspora writer Dokia Humenna’s interest in pre-Christian history of Ukraine, comments on the genre specifics of popular science works of the author “Blahoslovy, Maty!”, “Rodynnyi albom”, “Mynule plyve u pryideshnie”, the specifics of their interpretation of historical and archaeological information. D. Humenna entered Ukrainian literature in the 1920s and 1930s. The desire to write the truth hindered the realization of her artistic talent in Soviet Ukraine. The vast majority of the author’s works were published in exile. In search of herself, the writer became interested in studying the culture of pre-Christian times in Ukraine, she was a participant in the archaeological excavations of Trypillia settlements. For the first time in Ukrainian literature, D. Humenna resorted to the reconstruction of events of the past that were not recorded in written sources. Fiction (novel “Zolotyi pluh”, novels “Velyke Tsabe”, “Nebesnyi zmii”, a collection of micro-novels “Prohulianka aleiamy milionolit”) and popular science novels (essays “Blahoslovy, Maty”, “Rodynnyi albom”, “Mynule plyve u pryideshnie”) are devoted to this topic. The highlight of the writer’s literary achievements is her popular science fiction, dedicated to the Trypillia and Scythian cultures. In the essays “Blahoslovy, Maty!”, “Rodynnyi albom”, “Mynule plyve u pryideshnie”, scientific information correlates with the author’s conjectures. The language of prose is figurative, which contributes to the accessibility of the perception of information. Epic texts of this genre are based on a reasoned dialogue about the culture of the past epochs. The author uses professional terminology, cites scientific works, expresses her position on the achievements of ancient civilizations. The presentation of various material in the essays “Blahoslovy, Maty!”, “Rodynnyi albom”, “Mynule plyve u pryideshnie” is based on the laws of rhetoric. The author addresses the reader, explains the course of her opinion or the choice of the object of analysis. The composition of the works is founded on the rules of scientific research. At the end of the works there is a list of references. The texts of the essays are divided into plot-complete sections filled with information on archeology, ethnography, linguistics and other fields of knowledge. The dialogue with the reader is emotional, it is full of numerous rhetorical figures, conjectures, as evidenced by both the texts of the works and the prefaces to them. The effect of the reader’s trust in the fiction of historical and archaeological material in the popular science prose of D. Humenna is created by the correlation of scientific and artistic narrative manners. The linguistic outline of the works is rich in metaphors, author’s neologisms, rhetorical questions and exclamations.
