Випадок ураження ЦНС при сніді

Abstract

We describe а 40 years old parient with AIDS and development of severe meningoencephalitis after 9 years as he had been exposed to HIV positive blood transfussion. First clinical signs: diarrhea, fever, weight loss and respiratory symptoms were observed seven yars after blood transfussion. Severe neurological manifestation with signs of meningoencephalitis, altered mental status, severe headache and stiff neck were seen on admission. The use of AZT, brulamycin I.V., trimethoprim-sulfamethaxazol І.V., prednozolon, thymostimulin were effective to the extent that we could transfer the patients to AIDS clinic in Kiev. Positive predictive value for diagnostics and treatment of the patients with AIDS developing neurological manifestation would have modern algorithm, proposed bу prof. Evelin J.Fisherm M.D. (1994).
