Особливості внутрішньої організації галузевої термінології в оцінках сучасних науковців (на прикладі авіаційної терміносистеми англійської та української мов)

Abstract

У пропонованому дослідженні на прикладі авіаційної терміносистеми англійської й української мов розглянуто принципи опису внутрішньої організації галузевої термінології в оцінках сучасних науковців. У термінознавстві найчастіше об’єктом уваги традиційно залишаються саме конкретні термінології (терміносистеми), тобто сукупності термінологічних одиниць, окреслені межами певної науки, технічної галузі, сфери людської діяльності. Проте цей підхід потребує подальших уточнень щодо визначення кількісного і якісного складу обраних для аналізу сукупностей термінів, а також внутрішньої системної організації термінологічних одиниць у межах таких сукупностей. На сьогодні лінгвістичний опис англійської й української авіаційної термінології знайшов своє втілення в низці наукових розвідок, які відбивають коло проблемних питань, пов’язаних із формуванням і функціонуванням названої термінології як складової науково-технічної лексики в цілому, і шляхи їхнього актуального розв’язання. Формування авіаційної термінології англійської та української мов, що, за спостереженнями дослідників, відбувається протягом більше ніж двох століть, відображає весь складний процес розвитку авіаційної науки і техніки. Системність як одна з основних властивостей термінології підкреслена в багатьох практичних термінознавчих наукових працях і є принциповою для аналізу англійської та української авіаційної терміносистеми. Практично для опису внутрішньої організації авіаційної термінології англійської й української мов учені використовують два вихідних принципи: стратифікації на лексико-семантичні групи та польової організації термінології. Серед дослідників англійської й української авіаційної термінології немає одностайності щодо кількості та якісного складу тематичних груп авіаційних термінів, що й потребує подальшого опрацювання.

In the proposed study, the principles of describing the internal organization of industry terminology in the assessments of modern scientists are considered using the example of the aviation terminology of the English and Ukrainian languages. In terminology, the object of attention is traditionally specific terminologies (terminological systems), i.e. collections of terminological units delineated by the boundaries of a certain science, technical field, sphere of human activity. However, this approach requires further clarification regarding the determination of the quantitative and qualitative composition of the aggregates of terms selected for analysis, as well as the internal system organization of terminological units within such aggregates. To date, the linguistic description of English and Ukrainian aviation terminology has found its embodiment in a number of scientific investigations, which reflect the range of problematic issues related to the formation and functioning of the named terminology as a component of the scientific and technical vocabulary as a whole, and the ways of their actual solution. The formation of aviation terminology in English and Ukrainian languages, which, according to researchers, has been taking place for more than two centuries, reflects the entire complex process of the development of aviation science and technology. Systematicity as one of the main properties of terminology is emphasized in many practical terminological scientific works and is fundamental for the analysis of English and Ukrainian aviation terminology. Practically, to describe the internal organization of aviation terminology in English and Ukrainian languages, scientists use two basic principles: stratification into lexical-semantic groups and field organization of terminology. Among researchers of English and Ukrainian aviation terminology, there is no consensus regarding the number and qualitative composition of thematic groups of aviation terms, which requires further elaboration.
