Біографічний інтертекст у романі «Енн із Зелених Дахів» Л.М. Монтгомері

Abstract

У статті розглянуто семантико-функціональні особливості біографічного інтертексту в романі «Енн із Зелених Дахів» канадської письменниці Люсі Мод Монтгомері. На матеріалі щоденників письменниці можемо простежити конкретні факти з її особистого життєвого досвіду, що були творчо переосмислені й інтегровані мисткинею в текст роману. У романі знайшло відображення захоплення Л.М. Монтгомері природною красою її рідної канадської провінції – острова Принца Едварда. Встановлено, що романну структуру твору «Енн із Зелених Дахів» визначає сюжет прибуття дівчинки-сироти в чуже для неї місце. Л.М. Монтгомері одна з перших у канадській літературі порушила проблему сирітства, а також шукала відповіді на питання, що робить сім’ю по-справжньому міцною – біологічні зв’язки або любов і взаєморозуміння. Домінантними мотивами, що визначають художні особливості твору, є мотив самотності, непотрібності дівчинки/жінки в суспільстві, мотив любові до природи, мотив творчого світосприйняття, мотив сімейної любові. Посилена увага мисткині до становлення особистості дівчини/жінки в контексті сімейних та суспільних взаємин визначає актуальність творчості Л.М. Монтгомері в романному дискурсі Канади та світу. Процес активного творчого пізнання нового простору відображений у романі крізь призму численних фікційних історій Енн Ширлі, які є алюзіями та ремінісценціями на досвід Л.М. Монтгомері дитячих та юнацьких років. Нерідко в щоденниках мисткині можна знайти уривки, які згодом майже дослівно увішли до тексту роману «Енн із Зелених Дахів». Точка зору наратора в романі не є сталою, вона змінюється не тільки під впливом певної ситуації, але й залежно від актуалізації життєвого досвіду авторки, крізь призму якого подано історію про дорослішання Енн Ширлі.

The article examines the semantic and functional features of biographical intertext in the novel Anne of Green Gables by Canadian writer Lucy Maud Montgomery. Based on the material of the writer’s diaries, we can trace specific facts from her personal life experience, which were creatively reinterpreted and integrated by the author into the text of the novel. The novel reflects L.M. Montgomery’s fascination with the natural beauty of her native Canadian province, Prince Edward Island. It has been established that the novel structure of Anne of Green Gables is determined by the plot of an orphan girl’s arrival in a place alien to her. L.M. Montgomery was one of the first in Canadian literature to raise the problem of orphanhood and to seek answers to the question of what makes a family truly strong – biological ties or love and mutual understanding. The dominant motifs that define the artistic features of the work are the motif of loneliness, the uselessness of a girl/woman in society, the motif of love for nature, the motif of creative worldview, and the motif of family love. The author’s increased attention to the formation of a girl’s/woman’s personality in the context of family and social relations determines the relevance of L.M. Montgomery’s work in the novelistic discourse of Canada and the world. The process of active creative exploration of a new space is reflected in the novel through the prism of numerous fictional stories of Anne Shirley, which are allusions and reminiscences of L.M. Montgomery’s childhood and adolescence. Often in the writer’s diaries one can find excerpts that were later included almost verbatim in the text of Anne of Green Gables. The narrator’s point of view in the novel is not constant, it changes not only under the influence of a certain situation, but also depending on the actualization of the author’s life experience, through the prism of which the story of Anne Shirley’s growing up is presented.
