Відображення міфологічних і літературних сюжетів у давньогрецькому вазописі

Abstract

У статті розглянуто репрезентативність античної кераміки як засобу відображення античних міфологічних і літературних джерел. Представлено сюжети вазопису, що відображають зміст згаданих творів; підкреслено те, що вазопис певною мірою є єдиним доказом існування античної міфології, оскільки письмові джерела не могли існувати через відсутність писемності на час їх виникнення. Бібліографія питання включає праці О.О. Білецького, статті Н.В. Корольової та ін., О.О. Вар’ян. Серед зарубіжних досліджень виділяємо праці М. Робертсон [6], Г. Хедріна [7]. Більшість з них присвячена видовому аналізу кераміки та проблемі її атрибуції. Сюжети, пов’язані з міфологчно-літературною і соціальною складовою, безпосередньо не висвітлювались. У статті аналізуються розписи ваз з музейних колекцій (Берліна, Мюнхена тощо) та опублікованих досліджень. Метою, викладеного у статті, є репрезентація античного вазового розпису в дослідженні міфів і літературних джерел; розгляд впливу соціального устрою Давньої Греції на літературу і відображення подібних сюжетів на вазах. Тематика розписів, які стосуються міфологічних сюжетів, надзвичайно різноманітна. В першу чергу це стосується Богів, їхніх пригод і подвигів. Майже всі сюжети містять в собі помсту, боротьбу за першість, що мають досить жорстокий характер. Знайшло своє місце і відображення гендерної нерівності: можна сказати, що жінка, наприклад, в Аттиці, є чимось «іншим». Її не сприймають як рівну чоловікові. Це яскраво видно на деяких вазах. Вивчення вазопису стародавньої Греції надзвичайно важливе для розуміння культури античного світу. Крім художньої цінності, судини, прикрашені розписом і малюнками найрізноманітнішого змісту, несуть у собі чимало цінної інформації про світогляд людей тієї далекої епохи. Дане дослідження надзвичайно перспективне. Цікаво буде дослідити інші давньогрецькі міфологічні і літературні сюжети, що стали предметом зображення на вазах як чорнофігурних, так і червонофігурних.

The article studies the representativeness of ancient ceramics as a means of displaying ancient mythological and literary heritage. The subjects of the vase painting, which reflect the content of the mentioned above works, are presented in a unique way; it is emphasized that vase painting is respectfully the only proof of the existence of ancient mythology, since written sources could not exist due to the lack of writing at the time when vases were made. The bibliography of the studied problem includes the works by O.O. Biletskyi, articles by N.V. Korolev, O.O. Varyan. Among the foreign studies, we highlight the works by M. Robertson [6], G. Hedrin [7]. Most of the studies are devoted to the type analysis of ceramics and the problem of its attribution. Plots, which are related to the mythological, literary and social component, were not directly covered. The article analyzes vase paintings from museum collections (Berlin, Munich, etc.) and published results of the studies. The purpose of the article is to outline the representation of ancient vase painting in the study of myths and literary sources; to consider the influence of the social system of Ancient Greece on literature and the depicture of similar subjects on vases. The topics of vase painting, which relate to mythological subjects, are extremely diverse. First of all, the topics are about Gods, their adventures and deeds. Almost all plots contain revenge, a struggle for supremacy, which are in terms quite brutal. The reflection of gender inequality also found its place: it can be said that a woman, for example, in Attica, is something “other”. She is not perceived as equal to a man. This is clearly visible on some vases. The study of vase painting of ancient Greece is absolutely important for understanding the culture of the ancient world. In addition to the artistic value, the vessels, decorated with paintings and drawings of the most diverse content, carry a lot of valuable information about people of that distant era. This study is quite promising. It will be interesting to research other ancient Greek mythological and literary subjects that became the subject of images on both black-figure and red-figure vases.
