Аналіз розвитку світового ринку криптовалют

Abstract

Статтю присвячено дослідженню фінансових аспектів сталого розвитку світової економіки. Визначено пріАнотація. У статті проведено аналіз основних характеристик біткоїна як першої криптовалюти, досліджено особливості подальшого розвитку ринку криптовалют та застосування технології блокчейн. Розглянуто динаміку капіталізації основних криптовалют та визначено лідери даного ринку за рівнем капіталізації. Надано характеристику найвідоміших криптовалют, зокрема Litecoin, Peercoin, Ripple, Stellar Lumens, Nxt, BitShares, Dash, Dogecoin, Ethereum. Проведено порівняльний аналіз технологічних та функціональних характеристик основних криптовалют, розглянуто їх спільні та відмінні риси за ознаками мети створення, максимального обсягу емісії та технічних параметрів їх емісії й обігу (рівень децентралізації, методи хешування і алгоритми захисту даних, час генерації нового блоку). Визначено основні переваги нових криптовалют порівняно з біткоїном, досліджено еволюцію їх виникнення та умови застосування.

For a long time, bitcoin was the only cryptocurrency, but understanding the new opportunities created by the practical implementation of blockchain technology and the disadvantages of bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency contributed to the creation of new cryptocurrencies for a certain improvement of bitcoin, as well as more widespread use of the blockchain. The article provides a general description of the blockchain mechanism and the technology of data protection «proof-of-work». The article analyzes the main characteristics of bitcoin as the first cryptocurrency, explores the features of the further development of the cryptocurrency market and the application of the blockchain technology. The dynamics of capitalization of the main cryptocurrencies is analyzed and the leaders of this market by the level of capitalization are determined. The article presents the characteristics of the most capitalized cryptocurrencies in 2014-2016, in particular Litecoin, Peercoin, Ripple, Stellar Lumens, Nxt, BitShares, Dash, Dogecoin, Ethereum. A comparative analysis of the technological and functional characteristics of the main cryptocurrencies is considered, their common and distinctive features are described based on the purpose of creation, the maximum volume of emission and technical parameters of their emission and circulation (level of decentralization, methods of hashing and data protection algorithms, time of generation of a new block). The main directions of use of cryptocurrencies and the reasons for their creation are the payment systems maintenance; servicing crypto platforms for providing decentralized online services; servicing crypto platforms for decentralized autonomous companies; use for payments, currency exchange, cash payments and more. Changes in the structure of the cryptocurrency market during 2016-2018 are considered and the market leaders at the beginning of 2019, including new cryptocurrencies (Tether, EOS, Tronix, Cardano, Monero) are identified. The main advantages of new cryptocurrencies in comparison with bitcoin are determined, the evolution of their occurrence and application are investigated.
