Трансформації структури зовнішньої торгівлі України в контексті дії зони вільної торгівлі з ЄС

Abstract

У статті розглянуто особливості та здійснено аналіз зовнішньоторговельного та інвестиційного співробітництва України з країнами ЄС протягом 2015–2018 рр. Багато науковців виступають із критикою, що українська продукція та український виробник ще не повністю готові конкурувати на європейському ринку поруч з європейськими товарами надзвичайно високої якості. Відбувається повна переорієнтація української економіки на ринок ЄС. Поглиблена та всеосяжна зона вільної торгівлі між Україною та ЄС є невід’ємним складником Угоди про асоціацію, яка дає Україні можливість диверсифікувати свою економіку, що нині ґрунтується на великих підприємствах, котрі працюють у базових товарних галузях. Це сприяє руху до сучаснішої моделі, зокрема до розвитку динамічного сектору послуг та багатьох малих і середніх підприємств. Охарактеризовано основні наслідки від упровадження зони вільної торгівлі для України. Відносини з Європейським Союзом набувають для України особливого значення під час визначення власних перспектив і резервів для підвищення рівня міжнародних торговельних контактів та рівня конкурентоспроможності вітчизняної економіки на світовому ринку.

Ukraine has always been of a great political and economic importance for the development of Europe, that is why the European Union has always been interested in working with it. The focus of cooperation was put on establishing close economic cooperation with the further expansion and deepening of such cooperation. At the same time, Ukraine is beginning to implement the necessary institutional, economic and legal reforms that bring it closer to the relevant EU standards. The article considers the features and analyzes the foreign trade and investment cooperation between Ukraine and the EU during 2015–2018. The agreement between Ukraine and the EU is a defining milestone in economic relations. Many scholars have criticized that Ukrainian products and Ukrainian manufacturers are not yet fully prepared to compete on the European market in the face of extremely high quality European products. A deep and comprehensive free trade area between Ukraine and the EU is an integral part of the Association Agreement, which enables Ukraine to diversify its economy, which is now based on large enterprises and operates in core commodity industries. This is driving the move towards a more modern model, in particular the development of a dynamic service sector and many small and medium-sized enterprises. The main consequences of the introduction of a free trade area for Ukraine are also outlined. Relations with the European Union are of particular importance for Ukraine in determining its own prospects and reserves for increasing the level of international trade contacts and the level of competitiveness of the domestic economy in the world market. Ukraine has received many benefits from the Association Agreement. It reaffirmed its intention to join the European space, which guarantees stability in its relations with EU Member States. The Association Agreement served as a green light for foreign investors, who are now more likely to invest in the Ukrainian economy.It is concluded that the European Union is a strategically important trading partner of the country. Therefore, measures are being actively pursued to deepen cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union.
