| Abstract: | In this article the problem of tolerance is discussed. The meaning of the term is defined. The history of
investigation of this phenomenon is analyzed. Special attention is paid to the research of ethnic tolerance in
multicultural society. The necessity of the development of ethnic tolerance in modern world is underlined and
the important role of multicultural educational environment in this process is discussed. В статті розглядається проблема толерантності. Розкрито значення терміну «толерантність», про- аналізовано історію наукових досліджень явища толерантності. Особлива увага звертається на дослідження етнічної толерантності в багатокультурному суспільстві. Підкреслюється необхідність розвитку міжетнічної толерантності в сучасному світі. Наголошується важлива роль в цьому процесі освітнього полікультурного середовища. |
