Тенденції розвитку інвестиційної діяльності ЄС

Abstract

У науковій статті досліджено підходи авторів до визначення особливостей розвитку інвестиційної діяльності ЄС. Проаналізовано тенденції зміни основних макроекономічних показників Європейського Союзу. Обґрунтовано динаміку зміни кількості проєктів прямих іноземних інвестицій, оголошених в Європі у 2019 р., без урахування впливу пандемії. Оцінено поточний стан та перспективи розвитку міжнародних інвестиційних проєктів в ЄС. Використано загальнонаукові методи: наукової абстракції, аналізу та синтезу, систематизації та узагальнення. Отримано такі результати: динаміка припливу та відтоку прямих іноземних інвестицій в ЄС свідчить про стійкий загальний позитивний тренд з обережним ставленням іноземних інвесторів до країн ЄС під час кризових шоків світової економіки. Проаналізувавши чисту міжнародну інвестиційну позицію Європейського Союзу, можна зробити висновок, що більшість країн ЄС має негативний показник ЧМІП. Негативна величина вказує на те, що іноземні зобов'язання більшості країн ЄС перевищують їхні іноземні активи.

The article explores the authors’ approaches to determining EU investment activities development features. The tendencies of changes in the main macroeconomic indicators of the European Union are analyzed. The dynamics of changes in the number of foreign direct investment projects announced in Europe in 2019, without taking into account the impact of the pandemic, is justified. The current state and prospects of development of international investment projects in the EU are evaluated. General scientific methods are used: scientific abstraction, method of analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization. The purpose of the scientific article is to determine the conceptual foundations for the development of the EU investment activities. Objectives of the work are: to study the inflow of foreign direct investment into the EU; justify the outflow of foreign direct investment from the EU; assess the current state and prospects for the development of international investment projects in the EU. The following results are obtained: the dynamics of the inflow and outflow of foreign direct investment in the EU testifies to a stable general positive trend, with a cautious attitude of foreign investors towards the EU countries during the crisis shocks of the world economy. FDI usually emanates from advanced economies, but there have been two important developments since the Great Recession: developing countries have strengthened their position as a recipient and source of global FDI, while the proportion of EU inward and outward investment is gradually declining. After analyzing the net international investment position of the European Union, it can be concluded that most EU countries have a negative NIIP. A negative value indicates that foreign liabilities in most EU countries exceed their foreign assets. An important influence on the efficiency of the country's investment activity is exerted by its state policy to attract foreign and national investments, the country's participation in the system of international agreements, the geopolitical position of countries, their natural resource potential, population size and other factors.
