Використання новітніх інформаційних технологій у популяризації фондів Наукової бібліотеки Ужгородського національного університету

Abstract

У статті на прикладі Наукової бібліотеки Ужгородського національного університету розглянуто форми популяризації фондів книгозбірень із залученням сучасного інформативного простору мережі Інтернет. Дослідження спрямоване на вивчення практичного досвідустворення та застосування представлень віртуальних колекцій матеріалів про вчених Ужгородського національного університету та видатних постатей закарпатського краю, як одного з вагомих механізмів популяризації науки та культури. Поданий аналіз віртуальних книжкових виставок та відкритих лекцій базується на висвітлені матеріалів на сторінках соціальних мереж Facebook та YouTube.

Growing popularity of the Internet and introduction of the latest informational technologies led to a significant reduction of traditional offline library services. Asan alternative, usage of digital services intensified, as well as online promotion ofbook collection. With the rapid development of the possibilities of accumulating, storing and distributing information, modern software has been introduced in thefield of library services. This is visible in access to the electronic catalogs, onlinedatabases, virtual references, and electronic retrieve of the documents.This publication is devoted to the forms of book collection promotion in the Internet and is based on the experience of the Scientific Library of Uzhgorod NationalUniversity. The study aimes at studying of practical experience of creating and using of representations of virtual collections of materials about outstanding figures ofTranscarpathia, as one of the important mechanisms of popularization of science and culture. The presented analysis of virtual book exhibitions and open lectures is based on the materials published on Facebook and YouTube. In the process of searching for idle services, library specialists used fundamentally new forms of work to present the book collection. As a result, a number of virtual book exhibitions and open lectures were presented in a mixed online and offline forms as a part ofproject “Creating a co-working space for the organization of a holistic, harmonious, professional environment for the life of displaced persons” implemented by NGO “Volunteers Center of UzhNU”.
