Publisher: 5th International Workshop on Modern Machine Learning Technologies and Data Science
Citation: In this research the design and construction of a cross-platform recommender application for the optimization of a local touristic route planning is described. The subject area is limited to the tourist routes of the Transcarpathia region in order to improve the user experience at the local level. An aspect of the approach proposed by the authors is the optimization of the tourist route by supplementing it with points of interest based on the assessment of their recreational attractiveness. Fuzzy modeling is used to evaluate the recreational attractiveness of a specific tourist object or object of social infrastructure. Public cartographic services were used as a source of geoinformation data. The web application created as part of the research allows the user to visualize on a digital map the places of interest for the tourist and several options for the route. The React library was used to implement the software product. Keywords1 Route planning, tourism, travel experience, React, digital mapping services.
