Copper and Silver Containing Superionic Conductors: Preparation, Structure and Physical Properties

Abstract

The monograph is devoted to urgent questions in the field of solid state ionics, namely to studies of the preparation, structural and physical properties of copper- and silver containing superionic conductors. The main features of structural, electrical, dielectrical, mechanical and optical properties in superionic conductors of argyrodite type are considered. In order to expand the areas of their practical application, the superionic conductors prepared in the forms of composites, glasses and thin films are investigated. The influence of different types of disordering on the physical properties of materials under investigation is studied. Besides, the theoretical calculations of electronic structure and optical properties of different types of copper- and silver containing superionic conductors are performed.
