DAMAGE TO THE PELVIS

Abstract

Fractures of the pelvic bones are referred to the severe injuries. They make from 5 up to 6 % of all fractures of motor and support apparatus. Recently, there is a tendency to increase the number of these injuries, which is associated with a sharp increase in the number of vehicles, the speed of their movement, an increase in high-rise construction and other factors of intensification of the rhythm of life. Patients with pelvic injuries make up to 17.7% of the number of inpatient trauma patients. Treatment of pelvic injuries is an urgent medical problem that is far from being solved. Most of the injured are young people (17-45 years old), therefore improving the results of treatment is an urgent economic and social problem, the successful solution of which will allow a significant contingent of people to return to work. In this regard, the study of the topic has an important practical significance, and establishing a diagnosis is crucial for the correct treatment of patients with pelvic injuries.
